Mitch's POV

"Welcome to the Temple of Notch..."

Imagine a jungle temple, now imagine it 10 times bigger, made of polished white marble with torches burning brightly. Now imagine it in a wide clearing, filled with leaves, flowers and small trees ripe with fruit and a stream, snaking its way across. And the surrounding trees had grown and curved to make it so sunlight could shine through clearly, yet it would be impossible to see from above the jungle.

"This is amazing." Ty breathed

The man smirked "Everyone says that when they first come." Then he began walking towards the temple. "Come on."

We followed him, marvelling at the beauty of the place.

"So, if you don't mind me asking, but who are you?" Bella asked "You looked really familiar."

The man turned to us and sighed "I suppose I do, after all, I bear a striking resemblance to a certain god, don't I?"

The mans eyes flashed bright white for a moment before going back to their dark brown and we all gasped in shock, realising who he looked like.

Herobrine.

The man turned and kept walking and we all followed, but a bit slower. "As for who I am, I am the priest and guardian of this temple, though most people just call me Steve."

Seto frowned "Steve? The Legends say that the first man Notch ever created was called Steve..."

Steve acted like he hadn't heard the question, by this time, we were walking up the steps of the temple.

"Here we are." He said walking inside, we followed and continued to gasp in amazement.

Large white pillars were lined along the centre of the room, several corridors split off into other rooms and lining these corridors, on the walls, were beautifully carved runes and picture of Notch doing things for mankind that appeared to glow with power. Bright white torches were also dotted along the walls, casting off a warm, white light.

In the centre of the room was a large alter made of marble, behind this was a large statue of Notch with his hands out in front of him. In one hand, lay a diamond pickaxe and in the other, a simple wooden crafting table.

(Get it? Mine Craft?... No, ok...)

"So," Jerome began "What do we do now? Do we chant or something and he'll appear?"

Steve smirked "Do you really think it's that easy?"

Jerome shrugged "No, I was just hoping."

Steve rolled his eyes and raised his hands towards the alter, his eyes glowed bright white and everyone took a step back.

Steve hands also began to glow and the alter began to move aside, grinding against the marble to reveal an old, stone staircase with dimly lit torches lining the walls.

Steve gestured to us to follow him down and we did.

The bottom of the staircase opened up to an old stone room with 8 corridors leading out into darkness. Above each doorway, was a different symbol.

The symbols were, a diamond axe, a maple leaf, two iron swords crossed over each other, a water droplet with a sword in front of it, a diamond bow, an enchanting table, a pair of headphones and a shooting star.

"Each doorway is for one person represented by the symbol above each doorway." Steve said "All of them lead to the same area, but each of you will face a challenge you need to overcome, mainly being your worst fear."

I froze, 'My worst fear?' I thought 'What could that be?'

"Why do we have to do the exactly?" Jason asked

"Too prove which of you are worthy." Steve said simply "Now I'm sure you can figure out which is your doorway, so good luck, I'll meet you all on the other side."

Then he vanished, literally, he vanished in a bright white light.

I looked at the others and shrugged "I guess we have too." I said

Seto nodded "It proves whether or not we can talk to Notch." Then he went and stranded in front of the doorway with the enchantment table on it.

We all scattered and stood in front of our doorways, I stood in front of the Maple leaf. Jerome, the axe. Bella, the bow. Ian, the crossed swords. Quentin, the water droplet. Ty, the headphones and Jason, the star.

"Well, see you guys on the other side." Ty said before walking down hhis corridor and disappearing into the darkness.

Everyone nodded and began to venture into their corridors, Bella smiled at me and walked into hers quickly.

Jerome gave me a thumbs up and said "Good luck G!" Before running into his.

I smiled and turned to face my corridor, it was pitch black, but I've never really been scared of the dark.

So taking a deep breath, I jogged down my corridor, the darkness immediately surrounding me.
