Chapter 13: Flashbacks pt 2

So I just got back from holiday...

But I still have a week of holidays!!

So I'll update as much as I can,

If I'm lucky, maybe an update a day...

This isn't official so don't go at me if I don't keep to this.

Bella's POV

"It has too." Jason said

Seto nodded "Ok then, we'll leave tomorrow morning." He said "In the meantime, let's prepare defences incase Skybrine comes back."

The other generals nodded and left, except for Mitch, Jerome, Jason.

Jason sighed "I'm gonna go get Ty." He said leaving the room calmly.

Jerome sighed as well, "I'll get some weapons ready."

Mitch turned and followed Jerome out, leaving Seto and I alone in the library.

Seto continued to look at the page, almost as if he was mesmerised by it.

"Seto?" I asked, tapping his shoulder.

He blinked and shook his head quickly before looking up at me "Yeah?"

"What's going on?" I asked "I can see you're shaken up over something and I'm willing to bet it's over those stupid books!"

Seto sighed "Look Bella, those journals are made for sorcerers, they're made to tempt sorcerers to read them, to use the magic inside them, dark magic, they're seriously evil."

I stared at him "Exactly what happened down there?"

Seto paused for a moment before saying "I was tempted, I found the book I needed, the book...... opened to the right page, I read it, took the page, put the book back and left."

I looked at him, I could tell he wasn't giving me the whole story, but I knew he wouldn't tell me.

So I sighed "I know your lying Seto. I can see those books aren't good for you."

Seto looked at me sadly "I know that, but what am I supposed to do? We need this to find the temple. If we didn't, I never would've gone down there in the first place, heck I'd burn every last one of those damm books if I could."

I thought for a minute then said "Not look at it, that's what you can do" Then I reached out and snatched the page off the table, folding it quickly and shoving it in my pocket.

"Hey!" Seto said, reaching out for it. "What are you doing?!"

I sighed "Keeping this safe until tomorrow, when we leave, I'll give it back so we can use it. This is all we can do for now."

Seto sighed and nodded "Your right, at least I know it won't tempt you."

I nodded "Thank you." I said "I'm gonna go outside for now."

Seto nodded and went to his room "Yeah, I need to make some potions for the journey."

I smiled and left.

Le time skip....

I walked out into the courtyard of the base and sat against the base of the tree in the centre of the courtyard, staring at the sky.

I thought about everything that's been happening, maybe I shouldn't have been so hard on Seto, he's the whole reason I'm here. Then again it's for his own good. He even agreed with me.
