When we all got in the elevator and the door closed it was extremely quiet. Aaron had a scowl on his face and Justin was biting his lip smiling, his face starting to turn red. I looked back at Aaron and saw his hoodie again, covering my mouth with my hand. He was just too funny looking. Justin coughed, trying to conceal his laughter.
I took a deep breath and looked away. But when Justin burst out laughing I couldn't help myself and I also started laughing again. I heard Aaron growl and saw him cross his arms. Why did he have to keep trying to be tough!? It was making this all the more funnier.
All too soon we were on the third floor and the elevator stopped, opening its doors. Aaron was out, down the hall, and had opened a door and gone into it in about two seconds. I almost stopped laughing out of shock, but of course I didn't.
Justin and I left the elevator much slower than Aaron had and we took our time down the hallway, laughing our heads off. When we got to the open door of room 322 we stopped outside the door, trying to compose ourselves. Justin put his arm around my shoulders, sideways hugging me.
"If that whole ordeal wasn't a welcoming then I don't know what is," he laughed.
"I do," I said grimacing. But when I looked back up at my big brother, I couldn't help but smile again. We walked into the room and I saw that everything was black and red, typical. When we walked in we were in a living room with black walls, a black rug, two red couches, and a big television with some video games. To the left of the door was a bathroom and halfway into the room on both the left and the right were doors into bedrooms. At the back of the room to the right there was a hallway into another room.
"I'm going to go change, it's almost midnight," Justin said smirking as he went into the room on the left. I sure hoped I was in that room with him and not with Aaron.
I went over to the couches and sat down on one, looking around some more. There were posters of bands hanging up around the room but it was actually a lot cleaner than I had originally thought it would have been. There were only a few pieces of trash around the whole room.
A boy came out of the room on the right. He had long brown hair covering part of his face and had a huge smile on his face. I guessed he was Demetry.
"Hey," I said smiling. He held up one finger, closed the door, and then burst out laughing. I knew I was going to like him right away.
His brown eyes sparkled with amusement as he tried to say, "Funniest thing I have ever seen," through his laughter. I started laughing too and he stuck out his hand for me to shake. "I'm Demetry," he said, trying to stop laughing. I shook his hand and he pulled back quickly, still laughing. All of a sudden he stopped.
"I'm going to go get some milk," he said and calmly walked through the hallway in the back of the room, I was guessing to the kitchen.
"Yeah we don't know what his deal is," at the sound of Justin's voice I jumped and grabbed at my heart.
"Justin! You scared me! Don't sneak up on me like that!" I scolded. He laughed and rubbed my head, messing up my hair. "Hey!" I laughed, patting it back into place. "So which room's mine?" I asked, almost holding my breath waiting for the answer.
"You and me are in that one," Justin said pointing to the room that he had gone in before.
"Good," I said, sighing from relief.
"Why?" Justin asked.
"Well, no offense, but you are definitely the most normal vampire I've met so far," I said. He started laughing but I was serious! I didn't know exactly how much I would like this school if all vampires were like the ones downstairs, aka wanting to eat me. I was lucky that the ones I was rooming with didn't seem too be too blood thirsty. Oh, wait, scratch that, Aaron already tried to kill me.
I yawned as Justin made his way into the kitchen, following Demetry. I decided the best thing to do right then was to unpack and go to sleep. I could deal with everything else when the time came, including classes, which luckily started in a few weeks.
I walked into Justin and my room and gasped. Oh goodness was this boy messy! You basically couldn't see any floor whatsoever. I was planning on drawing a line across the room and telling him that if any of his things got on my side he owed me a dollar.
As I planned my wealth I unpacked my things into a black dresser on the right side of the room. In this room the walls were black but the rug was red as I saw when I kicked all his clothes back onto his side. I didn't even bother changing or brushing my teeth, I was way too tired. So once I finished unpacking I fell onto the black and red comforter and fell right into a deep sleep.
