While sitting on my bed, I heard a chair squeaking in the main room and tried to ignore it. I knew it was Aaron just trying to be annoying. I haven't talked to the idiot since last night, and it's almost 5:30 PM. I had thought his voice was annoying, but he has been squeaking the chair for seven minutes and thirty-eight seconds... I've been counting.

"Aaron, quit it or I'll stab you in the face with my apple!" I heard Demetry yell.

"Bite me," Aaron growled back, squeaking the stupid chair more. A few seconds later I heard yelling and a thud, but the squeaking had stopped. I sighed, smiling and walked out of Justin and my room, glad I wasn't the one that let Aaron get to me.

Justin ran into the room, making me jump. "DEMETRY! The Headmaster wants us to go on a trip to learn how to act... psh, whatever," he laughed.

"IT WASN'T ME!" Demetry yelled, running into his room. Justin and Aaron started laughing.

"What did you guys do?" I asked, sitting down on the couch.

"They painted the math room pink," Aaron said casually. Of course, after I heard that I couldn't stop laughing.

"And you didn't have any part in it? That's kind of hard to believe," I said sarcastically.

"Ha, ha, I happened to be with my math tutor," he said, glancing over and winking at me.

"Okay, ew, don't wink at me. But nice alibi," I said, getting up.

"Are you two gonna be fine alone?" Justin asked skeptically.

"No!" I yelled at the same time Aaron said a weak, "Yes."

He stared at us before shaking his head and going into our room to pack his clothes. I slouched down into the couch and laid my head on the back, closing my eyes. After the rebel children left, I would get ready for my date, if only Aaron had been in on the painting, my life would be so much simpler.

"How long will they be gone?" I asked; keeping my eyes closed. I knew for a fact Aaron was sitting on the other couch in silence.

"I don't freakin' know," he growled. I opened my eyes to see him storm into Demetry and his bedroom. Why do these boys have to be so confusing? It's like they all have mental illnesses, or are all just plain weird. Maybe all vampires are really humans with mental illnesses that needed a stable ground so people told them they were mythical creatures. Knowing the loopy-heads I do, I wouldn't be surprised.

But then there was the fangs and the hissing, so they must be legit. Maybe I'm hallucinating the whole thing and I'm really lying in a bed in a coma or something, minutes away from waking up. I wish that was it, then I could wake up to my friends and family and leave this all behind.

I stood up, I couldn't sulk about how much my life was gonna suck for the rest of my life, I had to make the most of things, starting with my date after Justin and Demetry left.

"Demetry come on!" Justin yelled, walking out of our room with only a pillow and a backpack. I sighed in relief, if he only packed a backpack then that meant I wouldn't be alone with Aaron for too long.

Demetry came out of his room, also with a backpack and a pillow. Aaron followed behind him with his hands in his pockets; he looked miserable.

"When will you guys be back?" I asked, crossing my arms. Justin turned to me and smiled.

"It's only for the weekend, try not to kill anyone, okay?" He said, grabbing me into a big hug and squeezing me tight.  "Be good, okay? And don't get Aaron so mad he blows a fuse," he whispered as he kissed the top of my head.

"Whoops, did that the first day I met him," I whispered back and he let go of me. I couldn't stop smiling; I loved having a big brother! Demetry walked over to me next and gave me an awkward hug, but I loved it anyways. I was going to miss these guys, even though I only wasn't going to see them for one weekend!

They said their goodbyes to Aaron and started heading to the door. Justin turned to look at us before they walked out the door.

"Wow, you guys look oh so happy... have fun!" he laughed and shut it behind him.  Aaron and I stayed there for about thirty seconds in silence, just staring at the door. He was probably hoping the same thing I was: for them to come back in yelling "JUST KIDDING! We really don't have to go anywhere."

"I'm going to take a shower," I said stiffly, starting to walk towards the bathroom.

"Why?" Aaron asked curiously. He was giving me a weird look so I gave him the same one right back.

"Because I want to?" I said back. He probably knew that I was getting ready for my date but maybe if I played dumb he would forget about it.

"Whatever," he sighed and went to sit down on the couch and play his Xbox. I tried to hide my relief as I ran into my room and grabbed some clothes and a towel, then ran back into the bathroom. I took my shower and then put on a cute tank top and jeans. It was cold outside but the building was heated so I didn't think much of the lack of warm clothing.

I blow-dried my dark hair and straightened it, making my bangs fall onto my face. I grabbed my makeup and put some on to bring out my dark blue-gray eyes. I smiled at myself in the mirror, satisfied with myself. I went out of the bathroom and started making it to the door quickly and quietly when I felt a breeze and Aaron was all of a sudden in front of me. I jumped a bit but stood my ground, I wasn't doing anything wrong.

"Why do you look like you are trying to impress someone?" Aaron said gesturing towards my clothes. "They aren't for that asshole of a vampire are they?"

"You caught me," I said, looking down to my feet. "They are for an asshole of a vampire... YOU!" I glanced up to his shocked expression and smiled while fluttering my eyelashes. I was totally working it. Then a look of realization crossed his face.

"Yeah, right," he said looking away. I knew he didn't believe me so I stopped smiling and sighed. He glared at me out of the corner of his eye and proceeded to grab my arm. He brought me into my room and sat me on the bed. I didn't even try to fight him because, come on, he was about 10 times stronger than me.

"Stay here, it's for your own good. Trust me," he said. He turned and walked out of the room, closing the door. I heard him sit right beside the door and knew he was casually continuing to watch TV. How was I supposed to piss him off if I couldn't go on my date with Gaven!? I felt my whole plan crumple before me, then I looked to the window.

I walked over quietly, knowing that vampires have more innate senses than humans, including hearing. I smiled and remembered the strong vines that covered the school even before I got to the window. I looked out and realized just how high it was. Thank god the ground was grass on our side of the school. I sighed, this was my only chance.

"For Gaven" I thought as I started climbing out over the window sill. When I got my feet in a good spot I put my weight on them and started climbing down the wall, breathing heavily. I realized it was going by a lot faster than I thought it would when I realized I had only moved a few feet. I groaned quietly and started trying to take bigger steps.

When I got to the bottom I smiled and started brushing myself off. For a three story window, I did a good job! I only had a few scrapes from some random vines that had thorns on them but other than that I was totally unharmed. I turned and started walking around the building to go in the front door when someone grabbed my arm.

"Look Aaron,' I started, my smile faded quickly as I turned around, then it returned just as fast, "Oh, hi Gaven!" I said cheerily.

"Hey," he said quietly, I assumed he knew I had snuck out.

"Wanna go to your room now?" I asked. I turned to start walking back inside and he stopped me again.

"No, let's stay outside," he said and took my hand as we started walking away. I gave him a weird look. When he was sure I was walking with him he dropped my hand.

"Where are we going?"

"You'll see," was his only response.
