"Jax, can I ask you something?" He turns to look at me holding Shane's hand. I immediately let go.
"Go ahead."
"Can Shane stay here for a few days?"
"Wouldn't his preppy family miss him?" Shane scoffs.
"Listen macho man, my 'preppy' family isn't a family, divorces ruined that. This one," he points at me, "is the closet thing I have to family." Jax squints.
"I thought you were family."
"Well-"
"Brianna! I've been looking all over for you since this morning." Tyler comes up behind me, placing a kiss on my cheek. Shane's face drops.

"Ah, you must be the brother-"
"No he's not. I know I said that, but I think of him like a brother."
"Ooh," Jax laughs. "Bro zoned." He pats Shane on the back. "Of course you can stay bud. I'd recommend visiting one of our clubs to drown your sorrows." He walks away laughing.
"Unbelievable." Shane scoffs.
"Come on, let's find you a room." I go to grab his arm but Tyler steps in between us.
"I'll find him a room." A chilling look passes between them and when Tyler leaves, Shane follows, leaving me standing alone.

"Gwenieeeeee." I knock on the door of her bedroom. She answers, face brightening when she sees me.
"How's my future sister in law doing?"
"Oh shut up and let me in." I take in the stylish, yet regal decor of Gwen's room. I knew where it was, but I've never been inside before.

"You must really love gold

"You must really love gold." I joke.
"It looks absolutely breathtaking on me, and it's pretty." She winks. "So, what brings you to my grand chamber?" Gwen flops onto her bed, patting the space beside her.
"I think Jax sorta kidnapped my close sort of brother that I'm not really related to." She raises her eyebrows in confusion.
"Let me explain." I say, and I do.

"Damn." Gwen whistles. "Jax likes you." Okay. That's not exactly the reaction I was expecting.
"What?"
"Do you not see it? Why else is he so cold towards you? Andddd he brought Shane to see you because you were torn about it." I roll my eyes.
"Please. That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard."
"Sure." Gwen smirks. "I'd totally see you guys together if you weren't dating my brother."
"Jax is dating Ashley, is he not?"
"Pshh they're on and off more times then I can count."

We sit and gossip for a few more minutes before we hear a knock on the door. I get up to answer it.
"Giovanni!" I hug him. "What are you doing here?" He puts his hands in the pockets of his jeans, moving back and forth in his heels.
"Uh, your brother and Tyler are about to fight. I can to find you as quickly as I could but-" I brush by him. It doesn't take me long to find the guys. I can hear them yelling.

"What'd you just say to me?!" Tyler places a hand on his side.
"You heard what I said." Shane snaps. Suddenly both guys draw guns-
Shane has a gun?!! - pointing them right between each other's eyes.
"Stop it!" I shout, none of them look at me. "Put the guns down!" I yell.

"Put the guns down!" I yell

Slowly Tyler lowers his gun. Smart guy.
"Shane. You do not want to piss me off. Lower the damn gun." I say icily. Shane reluctantly holsters his gun.
"You're lucky." Tyler taunts. Shane takes a step towards him, I put my hands between them, and go to shout at them-
"ENOUGH!" I turn to see Jax standing behind me, looking livid. "Why are you two idiots pissing off like you're the last two men on an island fighting for the last piece of steak?" He pauses. "Oh wait, I know the answer to that. My office." Nobody moves. "Now!"
I go to follow them, but Jax lightly grabs my arm. "No, you're staying. Go find Gwen." I huff, glaring at all of the guys before stomping away.

"You would not believe what happened." I say, flopping back onto Gwen's bed.
"Oh I heard. It's like a 14A version of The Bachelorette." I scoff. "But seriously!" She continues, "Why are they acting like tha- oh. Oh." A grin slowly creeps up Gwen's face.
"What, Gwen?" She giggles.
"The Shane guy is jealous of you and Tyler, and Tyler just doesn't like Shane because he's known you for a long time, right?" I nod my head.
"I need to go talk to Tyler. Want to come with me?" She shrugs.
"Why not." We leave the golden room behind, and head towards Jax's office.

It's suspiciously silent inside. I raise my hand to knock, when the door opens. Tyler emerges, looking tired. Shane follows shortly. I look st Gwen and see that she looks shocked. I follow her eyes. She's looking at Shane!
"Hey Tyler, can I talk to you?" I slip my hand into his.
"Sure. As long as I can sit." Odd request, but okay. I wiggle my eyebrows at Gwen, motioning between her and Shane. She blushes.

I lead Tyler back to the living room. He puts his arm around me when I lean into him.
"You don't have any feelings for Shane right?"
"Of course not. We're like siblings. Plus, I'm your girlfriend. Not his, and I never will be." Tyler sighs.
"I think he feels differently." I laugh.
"Well that's going to change." He looks down at me.
"What do you mean?"
"I left Gwen with him." He blinks, and then laughs.
"Oh gosh. I feel bad for him."
"You should feel bad for her. He can be a little annoying sometimes."
"How old is he?" Tyler asks.
"He's 22."
"Alright. That's good. Gwen is 19." Something dawns on me.
"You never told me how old you are." Tyler bites his lip.

"I'm four years older than you. So the same age as Shane." It never occurred to me that Tyler was older than me. We get along so well.
"How old is Jax?"
"24. Why?" He asks suspiciously.
"Just curious."
"Ok, well four years-"
"That's nothing. My.... dad," I struggle to say it, "married a 30 year old when he was 46, and then divorced her, and married another women, and then divorced her.... and now he's basically a free man- womanizer." Tyler laughs.
"Well that's- interesting." I scoff.
"Super interesting." We're silent for a bit, but I break the silence. "You know I'd never have feelings for Shane or anybody else, as long as I'm with you, ok?" Tyler smiles at me.
"Ok." I feel reassured, but why does something feel off?
