"Gwen." I burst into Gwen's room, seeing Natalie beside Gwen on the bed.
"Yes?" She asks, a cheeky grin on her face.
"Why would you tell me Giovanni is gay when he clearly isn't? Like an accidental kiss in the third grade? Unbelievable." I say, but I'm half laughing.
"Sorry." She shrugs. "I was just trying to get you away from the wrong brother."
"Great. Gio probably thinks I'm some crazy gossip. Oh gosh." I stuff my head under a pillow. "I am a total guy repellent."

"Oh please, you're definitely not a guy repellent." Gwen pipes.
"Ok then, enlighten me on how I'm not." My reply is muffled.
"Jax gives you the eyes all the time, and literally so many guys have-"
"Enough with the Jax stuff." I groan.
"I've noticed it too though. He's always looking at you." Natalie pitches in.
"Oh shut up both of you!" I throw the pillow at them. They both laugh at me. "But seriously I need help. What am I going to do?"

"Get your man." I groan, resulting in more laughter.
"Jax is dating Ashley. And I don't even like him. In fact I despise him. He's the most self centred, annoying airhead- what?" I say at the suddenly suspicious silence of Gwen and Natalie. They're faces are very pale. "What?" I ask again, and that's when someone clears their throat behind me.

Jax

Jax. Sh*t I'm in so much trouble.
"Heyyy, pal. Buddy. Best frien-"
"Come with me."
"I um-" I look back at the girls, who are smirking.
"Now."
"Ok jeez." I angrily follow him out the door. "What is your problem with me?!" I snap at him, and I think it's the last straw.

Jax grabs my arms, pinning them above my head in the wall.
"Do you think it's ok to disrespect me in mi casa?! All the god damn time you quip at me in front of everyone and I'm tired of your disrespect." I look up at him with challenging eyes.
"Oh yeah?! Well when you're an a**hole to me and nobody else it's kind of hard not to say things back. Plus," I step up to him so that our noses are almost touching. "What are you going to do about it." He grabs me chin, lifting my head up.
"You have no idea what I can do."

The next morning I'm still reeling from my encounter with Jax. You have no idea what I can do. What the heck is that supposed to mean? Sighing, I plug in my earbuds, and start to make my pancakes. My favourite song, Boasty comes on. I start to dance while mixing.

~Jax POV~
I roll my eyes at the sudden loudness coming from the kitchen. Why did the idiotic builder decide to put my office so close? Getting up angrily I slam my office door, and walk to the kitchen.

Holy- Brianna is dancing to a song in the kitchen wearing tight leggings and a sports bra. Everything about her is gorgeous, unlike Ashley who's a friggin Barbie doll.
"Can I help you, Jax?" Sh*t.

~Brianna's POV~
As I finish plating the pancakes, still dancing, I suddenly feel like someone is watching me. I turn around to see Jax staring at me in a trance.
"Can I help you, Jax?" He coughs.
"Sorry, I just was trying not to throw up at your awful dance moves." I scoff.
"You we're checking me out."
"Don't flatter yourself. I'd never waste my time on someone like you." He gives me a smirk before walking away. Wow what an a**. Grouchily I start to eat my pancakes. "I'd never waste my time on someone like you." Please! He could never handle me, I'm- why am I even worrying about this? The nicer better brother likes me anyway.

"Gio? Can I come in?" I say, knocking his door. When I don't hear an answer I push open the door, and look around. Gio is nowhere in sight. I take a seat on his bed, fiddling with my fingers.
Suddenly Gio emerges from another door (probably the washroom) his hair freshly wet, with a- he only has a towel on. He looks up, realizing I'm there.
"B-Brianna. Hi." Gio almost drops the towel.
"I'm sorry I can leave, I didn't know that you were in the shower or else I would've-"
"It's ok, just let me get change." He disappears into the washroom, and emerges in khaki shorts and a black T-shirt. "So what's so important that you had to burst in on me almost naked." I sigh.

"Gosh I'm so sorry I-"
"It's ok," Gio laughs. "I'm just playing with you. So what's up?"
"I just wanted to thank you for being so nice to me from the start, and helping me train for the test. Your a really good guy." Unlike your brother.
"Does Jax mistreat you?" His eyes darken.
"Oh I said that out loud." I sigh. "Well I wouldn't say mistreat, but he's very rude to me sometimes. Today he said-" I stop myself.

"What. Brianna. He said what." I shake my head.
"It's nothing Giovanni."
"Brianna if he said something to you, I'll confront him."
"No! That's the last thing I want you to do." I place my hand on his face, touching his bruises. "Plus," I smirk, "I can handle him."

Giovanni lightly shakes his head.
"I've told you before, he's more dangerous than you think."
"And I'm telling you now that I can handle myself." I get up, storming out of the room. Why doesn't he think I can handle myself? Yes Jax may be the leader of the Italian mafia and has this 'macho man' persona going on, but I know that I can handle him.

"That's it, I'm giving up." I throw my hands up and jump onto the couch beside Natalie and Gwen in the women's room. It's become our little hang out place now. We've added decorations and Gwen even went as far as having a bookcase/secret door replace the ugly pastel pink one.
"Giving up on what?" Natalie hands me pillow, I snuggle into it.
"Boys. Guys. Men. They're impossible."
"Uh oh, Jax again?" Gwen pats my back.
"No! It was Giovanni." I sigh, "and the problem is I think we're catching feelings for each other but all he does is doubt me all the time!"
"I'm telling you chica, you and Jax. It's happening." I shake my head.
"No. Never."
