Gio ends up leading us to Alex because I have no idea where she is.
"Hey. Relax, she's going to like you, don't worry." Gio assures me.
"I'm fine." I lie.
"Please, you're shaking." Natalie laughs beside me and I glare at her.
"Like you're not nervous either." I shoot back. Gio rolls his eyes at our ridiculousness.

"There she is. Now stay calm." We approach Alex, who's even more pretty in person than in pictures. It's just not fair! She's wearing a short white dress with cute sleeves.

That takes guts, considering Ashley was the only person supposed to be wearing white

That takes guts, considering Ashley was the only person supposed to be wearing white.
"Ashley doesn't scare me, and she well knows not to bug me." Alex says.
"Oh shoot! I said that out loud didn't I?" She laughs.
"I'm guessing you have problems with Ashley?"
"Doesn't everyone?" Natalie adds in, earning a chuckle from Alex.
"You'll get used to it girls, I've had to deal with her for most of my life. My family is very close with the Vitolani's. She's been draping herself over Jax since we were in diapers." She winks at Gio, causing him to blush. Hmm.

"Alexia?" A stage manager/bodyguard dude taps her on the shoulder. "They're ready for you." She smiles at us.
"See you guys after!" She follows the man to the stage that has somehow been set up in the small amount of time we were gone. The crowd forms a circle, leaving space to dance I guess.

"I would like to thank the Vitolani's for hosting this amazing event once again, and for giving me the opportunity to sing for all of you lovely people." She clears her throat before beginning. I look over at Gio who's mouth is hanging open. Oh he's such a goner.
"Care to dance, love?" Jax appears out of nowhere beside me, causing me to jump.
"I suppose I don't have any other choice." He grins, pulling me onto the dance floor.

               *Play the song above*

We dance slowly, and I try to avoid looking into his compelling brown eyes.
"Why aren't you looking at me?" He grabs my chin, lifting it so I'm forced to make I contact.
"Y-you're confusing Jax. I don't get you."
"What's there to not get?" I sigh.
"You've been awful to me, and anyone I'm close with until now? What changed?"
"My stubbornness broke." He answers. "I truly have always lo- liked you, I was just too proud to admit it." I blink. What was he about to say? "So," he pulls me closer. "At the end of this song, I am going to introduce you to my mother." My heart starts to race.

"I- um- why?" He laughs.
"Because. You will one day marry me and they need to meet you sooner rather than later. Tonight as my girlfriend."
"What? This is awfully soon-" Jax rolls his eyes.
"You and Tyler dated after less than a day practically."
"He saved my life." I defend.
"Wrong. I saved your life." I'm about to answer when  Jax suddenly pulls me off the floor, leading with our hands entwined.
"Madre. Me gustaría presentarte a mi prometido, Brianna Carter." (Mom, I'd like to introduce you to my fiancé.) I hold back the eye roll. I hate when he speaks in a language I don't understand. I understood mom and my name though. But no way is that his mother, she's so young looking and unfairly pretty.
