An Ocean Between Us (L.H.)

Chapter 5

I wake up at eight in the morning. Luke still has his arms around me so I carefully slip out from his grip.  Then I go to the living room and start a group message with Ashton, Calum, and Michael.

Reagan: Its official boys! You're moving in with me! Apartment 304, text when you get here. Hurry before Luke wakes up. Oh speaking of Luke don't forget to pack his stuff. Otherwise he may just kill you all.

Calum: Your place can fit 3 more?

Reagan: Yeah. Now how many lazy Aussie's are up?

Ashton: 3/ 4!

Michael: We'll pack our things and check out. Good thing we just finished our tour!

Calum: Yeah! We can write songs too! Just don't go all commando on us! ;)

Reagan: Don't you ever use military jokes again or I will kick you out! I'm leaving in 12 days and I'd rather not be reminded.

Ashton: We know. Be over in 30.

With that I turn off my phone and heat up a breakfast sandwich. Then I sit down on the couch. Soon I get a text from Calum saying that they're here. I press the button that opens the front door and soon there's a knock on my door. They come bursting in, drop their things, and say, "Where's Lukey Poo?"

"Sleeping." I reply while trying to stifle a laugh.

They all go rushing to my bedroom and I hear them all yell, "Wake up Lukey Poo!"

I hear him groan and say, "Get off the f**king bed!"

"Language Luke!" I yell. 

That makes them all laugh. Then I hear Calum scream and they all come running out of the bedroom, with Luke chasing them. When he sees me he comes and sits beside me. Then he whispers, "Morning Rae. How'd you sleep?"

I smile and whisper, "Morning Skywalker. I slept better once you came. You?"

"Same." 

Michael then says, "Thanks for the love show but what's with the nicknames?"

"Oh they were from grade five." I respond. 

Ashton laughs and says, "Luke is that why you have a lightsaber in the bus and in your house?"

"Maybe..."

We all laugh and then Luke says, "They're the ones that Reagan got me."

"Really?!" I exclaim. 

He nods and we all laugh. Then I lay my head on Luke's lap. He starts to stroke my hair and soon the rest of the guys join us on the couch. They manage to find Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on TV and they decide to watch it. It isn't my kinda thing so I pretend to fall asleep to see if they'll say something about me. Then Calum says, "You really love her don't you?"

"Yeah I do. I've waited ten years for her. But if she dies overseas I can't imagine waiting a lifetime."

I'm sure they're all nodding their heads. I try to do the best fake wake up possible.

Michael laughs and says, "You were never sleeping were you?"

"Nope. But don't worry Luke. Even if I get hurt I'll hold on for you." 

They all nudge Luke and I but then Ashton yells, "QUIET! TURTLES ARE BACK ON!"

We all laugh and turn our attention back to the TV.
