Jungwoo was woken up by whisper-shouting and constant shifting. He didn't open his eyes yet. It seemed almost like a habit now.
"This isn't what it looks like!" Lucas whispered harshly.
He heard Taeyong chuckle. "I don't care what it is; it's cute and now I have evidence."
He felt Lucas sit up slowly and curse under his breath at Taeyong.
"You should get ready. We're gonna try and leave soon." Taeyong said before walking away.
Lucas sighed heavily and turned around, facing Jungwoo. He looked so ethereal, lying there with his messy hair and peaceful movements.
Jungwoo felt a hand placed on his bare arm. Lucas lightly shook him and leaned down to whisper, "Jungwoo, we need to get up."
Jungwoo then opened his eyes slowly and looked up at him before looking down at himself and gasping. He realized then that it was bright out and Lucas might've been able to see his body. He pulled the blankets up to his neck and looked away bashfully.
Lucas looked him in the eyes and tilted his head, asking what was wrong. Jungwoo simply buried his face further into the blankets.
Lucas raised an eyebrow before making a realization and nodded. He took his shirt from off the ground and left the tent.
Jungwoo was quick to get his clothes back on. He had to change out of the pants he was wearing as they were still relatively wet and uncomfortable.
As he went to leave the tent, he hesitated upon hearing some chatter outside.
"He fell?"
Lucas hummed.
"But why did you need to-"
"He would've gotten hypothermia. Skin-to-skin contact was the most efficient way. AND I wouldn't have had to do it if you weren't drunk and loving on your man."
Taeyong scoffed. "Whatever, at least you saved him."
There was a short pause.
"Oh hey, do you know why he apologizes so much?" Lucas asked casually.
Jungwoo's heart stopped as he listened even more intently.
"Hm...he had a boyfriend not too long ago. Actually, he was arrested a few days before you came over to my house."
"Wha-? What was he arrested for?"
"Abuse, I thought I made that obvious."
Lucas was suddenly quiet, which worried Jungwoo. Would he judge him for being weak? Would he regret saving him? Would he get mad and do what Seojun did?
Taeyong groaned as he got up. "I'll go check on him." He said.
Jungwoo panicked and sat back, pretending to just now put on his shirt.
"Hey, what's taking you so long?" Taeyong asked, pulling the flaps of the tent open.
"N-nothing...I'm coming." Jungwoo got up and walked out of the tent, sitting on the log bench next to Lucas and Taeyong.
"Where's Jaehyun?" Jungwoo asked.
Taeyong chuckled. "Oh, he's got a massive hangover. He's still in our tent."
"But you drank a lot too, how do you not have a hangover?"
"I never get bad hangovers. Just a slight headache, that's all."
Jungwoo nodded and unconsciously shifted his eyes over to Lucas. They accidentally met with his, so he awkwardly and quickly looked away.
After maybe twenty minutes or so, Yuta and Sicheng had woken up and Jaehyun had been dragged out of the tent. Everyone helped clean things up besides Jaehyun, who was "dying" according to himself, and Jungwoo, who was told he wasn't allowed to exert himself.
Everything had soon been tucked away into bags and backpacks and they decided it was time for them to leave.
Jungwoo didn't realize how long he had actually slept for until he read Yuta's watch. 10:30am, it read.
Yuta and Sicheng walked in front of the crowd, Taeyong dragged Jaehyun down the hill towards the middle, and Lucas and Jungwoo lagged behind them all.
"Are you sure you're alright?" Lucas asked him.
Jungwoo looked over. "Referring to what?"
"Last night. Are you cold right now? You don't seem to have a lot on you that could keep you warm."
"I'm fine now. Besides, we're going down anyways so it'll only get warmer."
"True."
It went a little quiet. Jungwoo got flustered at the thought of what had happened last night; he couldn't believe that Lucas really did all that for him.
"Would you mind if I came over again? To Taeyong's house?" Lucas asked.
Jungwoo shook his head. "I don't have a problem with it."
Lucas nodded.
They kept walking for a while until Jungwoo did, indeed start to feel a little cold. He found it unusual and felt his cheeks, stinging his hand at the touch. He ignored it for another few minutes and continued walking until he felt a pang in his head. It felt like a horrible headache at first, but then evolved into an unbearable and blinding pain.
He didn't want to worry anyone by burdening them with his problem, so he just went on.
They had only made it about halfway or so when he started feeling worse, if that was even possible. Some things started to go blurry. He tripped over his own feet a few times but quickly redeemed himself.
His head started falling forward and it took all his strength to keep it up and look normal. He felt sweat forming on his forehead and brow, causing him to worry for himself a little more.
He began walking slower and slower; his legs were starting to hurt for whatever reason.
Then, suddenly and unexpectedly, everything around him started to spin and he hit the ground with a thud. Everything was black.
