The only things Jungwoo could hear were the heart monitors and a loudly ticking clock.

He opened his eyes, being met with a dimly lit room. He turned his head slightly to the right, finding Taeyong, Jaehyun, Yuta, and Sicheng all sprawled on top of each other and sleeping on the couch and pull-out bed.

As he looked a bit further down, he found Lucas fast asleep next to the hospital bed in a chair. He suddenly became conscience of his body and noticed Lucas holding his hand.

He leaned his head back and sighed, gripping Lucas' hand tighter and accidentally waking up the other in the process.

Lucas lifted his head slowly and scratched the back of his neck. He yawned, not very aware of what was happening until he saw Jungwoo. His eyes widened.

"Jungwoo! I-I'm...you know how much you scared me? I thought you...after what happened..."

Jungwoo chuckled. "I'm fine." He assured him. "I promise."

"That's what you told me this morning too. Should I believe you?"

"Of course you should."

Lucas sighed and nodded, finally looking down at his hand and jerking it away. "I-I...um..."

Jungwoo grabbed his hand again and held it firmly, reassuring him. Lucas suddenly felt more confident and decided to move his chair closer to Jungwoo.

"The doctor said you have a pretty high fever. What do you say about me taking you back to Taeyong's? I'll come back and get the rest of them later."

He thought. Would being completely alone with Lucas be any similar to being completely alone with Seojun? How likely was it that Lucas would hurt him?

Jungwoo stuttered. "I....I"

"Hey, it's fine if you don't want to."

"...I want to."

Lucas sat up in shock. "O-oh, I'll turn in the paperwork then." He left the room in search of a doctor or nurse.

He soon came back with, supposedly, the same doctor who had diagnosed him previously. He helped carefully pull out Jungwoo's IV and aided him in getting out of bed.

Lucas offered him a shoulder and they then walked out of the hospital.

Lucas took Taeyong's car that he had brought while Jungwoo was still unconscious. The ride back was awkward and, for the most part, silent.

Upon reaching the house, Lucas had to help Jungwoo walk every step of the way to his room (quite literally).

Jungwoo buried himself in the blankets of his bed. His fever had worn him down and deprived him of any energy he thought he had. Lucas' face was visibly tinted pink.

"What is it?" Jungwoo choked out.

"Nothing, you just looked really cute."

Jungwoo turned a slightly darker shade of pink than Lucas and dug himself further into his bed.

After a few more minutes, they had shrugged off the situation.

Lucas knelt down next to Jungwoo's low bed. "Do you need anything? Are you hungry?" Jungwoo nodded. "Alright then, I'll be right back. Call if you need me."

Lucas left the room.

Jungwoo cuddled with his extra pillow. Why was he suddenly feeling so weird around Lucas? He thought back to the night that Lucas slept with him in the tent. He missed the warmth from Lucas' body.

Interrupting his thoughts, Lucas came in with a bowl of soup. He sat Jungwoo up and helped him eat. When one of Jungwoo's arms went numb from laying on it wrong, Lucas fed him a few spoonfuls of the soup.

The now empty bowl sat on the fold-up table behind the bed. Lucas sat on the floor next to Jungwoo's bed and rested his head on the frame.

At this point, Jungwoo was very tired. His eyelids were heavy and struggled to stay open. He yawned and lifted the blankets up to his chin. He shivered.

"L-Lucas..."

Lucas looked up at him attentively.

"C-can you...lay down with me...?"

Jungwoo's face was flushed from embarrassment, but in his defense, he was restless.

"Oh, yeah...sure." Lucas took off his jacket and shoes and went to the foot of the bed, moving over and behind Jungwoo. He rested on the other side of the bed.

Jungwoo moved back against him quickly. His own body was like ice but Lucas' was so warm. Should he be this fond of him? Aren't they strangers?

"Jungwoo..."

He hummed in response.

"You're really cold. Should I go get you another blanket?" He went to get up but Jungwoo bashfully grabbed his wrist.

"No...please stay..."

Lucas complied after being swayed by Jungwoo's cuteness. He felt a little strange about their situation too, but he actually enjoyed it. He liked having Jungwoo close to him. It made him excited.

Jungwoo stiffened when Lucas moved. "O-oh, I'm sorry...you probably don't like this...you don't have to listen to me...I'm sorry...I'm so sorry..."

Lucas rolled Jungwoo over to face him. "Hey hey...it's okay, you're fine. You don't need to apologize to me. I'm here to take care of you so I'll do what you need me to, okay?"

He looked up at him anxiously and nodded.

"Now, how about I send our friends an Uber so I don't have to get up?" Lucas asked.

Jungwoo smiled slightly. He reached over, grabbing Lucas' phone from off the floor and handing it to him.

He could hear the noises of Lucas pressing the keyboard as well as the soothing sounds of his steady breathing. Still faced the opposite way, Jungwoo could only listen. The noise stopped after a while and he felt Lucas inch closer to him, as he was previously on the complete opposite edge of the bed.

His breathing was a lot more audible now. Jungwoo nuzzled into the blankets and closed his eyes. He eventually fell asleep.

Jungwoo heard giggling. He suddenly became aware of his situation.

Opening his eyes, he saw Yuta, Taeyong, Jaehyun, and Sicheng right next to his bed, all with their phones out.

He felt a hand resting on his shoulder; he soon came to realize it was Lucas'.

"What are you doing?" He whispered sleepily yet harshly.

None of them answered. They just proceeded to take pictures.

Jungwoo sighed. "I hate you all."
