Love is a unique thing. Of so many things. Of pain. Of joy. Of suffering. Of laughter. Of tears. Of achievements. Of anger. Of milestones.
Love is powerful. It changes entire worlds, entire beings. Entire lives and beliefs turned around with the presence of love. No, love can never always be a fully positive thing, it is only powerful.
Romantic love, platonic love and familial love. Love. What a person needs, a core feeling driving many of our relationships. We have always been social creatures, taken over for some sort of love. Love for something. An object, for example. Or a person.
I am driven mad by the sheer existence of love and the fact that it is so complex. So mysterious to the extent where comprehending even the simplest and most purest of its forms, motherly love, has no words to explain it.
But maybe I'm overthinking it. The reason why love is so complex could be why it is so powerful. What drives men to do things they never thought they could do for things or people they love? No, the answer is as clear as day, but it is wholly clouded by the storm clouds of our own human flaws sans any additional disabilities.
Love is always a powerful thing. But it is not necessarily the most positive force. On one hand, it is a blindfold that sends you flying into another direction. On the other hand, it is a change. For better or for worse, nary a doubt that it will bring about a change.
And it will. Somehow. Love drives us all.
