Falcon was chewing on a lollipop as she strolled back into polytechnic, texting Izzy about the upcoming round of the competition, before pausing at what she saw.

Her jaw hung open, lollipop dangerously close to falling out of her mouth.

"What the fu..."

Violet hanging on the arms of a guy Falcon has seen once, twice before but knew never knew Violet. Violet giving him a big kiss on the lips right there in the middle of the hallway.

Falcon could only gape.

What the fuck.

She had to pull herself together. Violet completely pulled this out of left-field. Which was fine, except for the fact that this was totally not what she envisioned.

She watched as Violet smiled a sweet smile at him, pinching his cheeks, him laughing and carrying her books for her.

What the fuck.

"Close your mouth, you'll catch flies," Emily said, appearing beside her.

"Oh, great. You came. Any explanation?" Falcon helplessly gestured to the sweet scene in front of her, watching them laugh and smile and act cute. It pinched her heart in a way she never thought it could.

"I also thought it was completely unhealthy, considering she just met him today," Emily hummed, practically ignoring the fact that Falcon had lost all her cool and spun to her.

"What?! Are you kidding? They just met today?! That's a recipe for fucking disaster!" Falcon almost shouted.

Emily gave her a look. "Don't be hypocritical."

Falcon sighed. "Okay, fine. But ours' was different. We didn't date right off the bat. You died before we could even give it a chance."

Falcon regretted it as soon as she said it, but Emily took no offence this time around. "The feelings were there, but we didn't want to jump in headfirst. Right now, I'm not sure if Violet has all her feelings sorted out."

"Well," Falcon reasoned, "he does make her happy..."

"I know what you're thinking, Kendrick. That you should leave them be? I'm not sure if an intervention would be effective, but that's better than leaving them be, which I foresee some... grief."

Falcon scoffed. "After the shouting match in the last rehearsal, I'ma say fuck it. Violet deserves the grief she gets."

"Falcon! That's not nice."

Falcon shrugged. "I'm not perfect either. I'm still human, I've got mean bones in me. And I'm fuckin' tired, okay? This was way out of left-field and way out of my control. It's her life, her decision, and if she gets hurt then that's fucking her fault."

"Says the one who tried to set her and Jared up."

"You know it steers us to a happier ending."

Emily sighed at that, nodding. "You... have a point. So what now? Disaster comes when two all-knowing beings are having contradictions."

"I'm not all-knowing, you are," Falcon argued, but deflated when Emily gave her a look. "... fine. I guess I'm sort of all-knowing. But I'm the acting person here, and my decision is to leave her be."

"You're being petty."

"So what if I am?" Falcon argued, suddenly exhausted. "Violet straight up called all of us losers, freaks, misfits, outcasts... list goes on and on. We might bunk the performance, honestly. She should get the pain that we got."
