Jared was in bliss. As much as bliss could be when he was being the one leaning against the doorway of his own home holding a clipboard. He was just ticking down whatever logistics were there, that were not there...
Falcon was setting up tech in the corner, talking to Rex, who was nodding. Rachel skipped over, joining them and the three of them began to converse with each other quietly. He chuckled and turned away to Violet, who was walking over awkwardly.
                              "So... um..."
The other four had come down relatively early with their respective guardians and families, though Violet was careful to only bring her dad.
"How did I do for the first three dates without any advice of any sort?" Jared asked, anxiously waiting her reply as she seemed to consider her answer.
"You are a true gentleman, dear. That's so cool, if it was me you were actually taking out-"
"Oh no, but it was you-"
                              "Wait what-"
                              "Did you not-"
They both fell silent, awkwardly laughing to themselves.
"Three weeks of simulated dating and I still wasn't prepared!" Jared groaned. Violet sighed, patting his arm.
"Dude. You only missed out one thing. One small thing. It's not a compulsory thing but... it's a game changer."
"What?! Why didn't you tell me?" Jared whined.
                              "It's a little-"
Falcon suddenly butted into the conversation. Jared could tell from the way her smile was pulled up almost all the way up her face that something was going on and Falcon was scheming. Again.
"May I borrow my best friend for a little bit?" Falcon asked, not really waiting for a reply as she put a heavy hand on Jared's shoulder and dragged him off. "Oh great, thanks!"
"What the hell are you doing?!" Jared almost shrieked as Falcon yanked him with as much force as she would try pulling a 60 tonne truck. He yelped, stumbling slightly and droppjng his clipboard, causing a clattering sound.
"I haven't caught up with you for so long!" Falcon grinned, giving him a friendly noogie.
"We just saw each other five minutes ago!"
                              "I'm boredddddd!"
                              "You're doing the wires!"
"I'm not wired up!" Falcon whined, giving a pout and a stomp of her foot. Jared could see all the effort it took Falcon to hide a shit-eating grin behind the pun and childish behaviour.
