For the next two days, being nice was what Violet was trying to be.

"Ah, fuck..." Falcon muttered as she dropped a file on the ground. "Son of a-"

"Need help?" Violet asked, but scooped up the file before Falcon could even answer.

"I..." Falcon looked at Violet, her file, at Violet again, regarding her suspiciously and taking back her file. "... thanks..."

A few minutes later, Falcon was sitting and poring over statistics and reports and was taking a sip of her sports drink-

"How's the music group?"

Falcon was startled by the sudden presence of Violet that she shot out the drink out of her mouth, much to the surprise of Jesse, who was looking for Violet.

"Jesus! Don't give me a scare!" Falcon yelled, wiping her mouth. "Goddamnit... warn me before you show up out of nowhere."

Violet frowned. "Are you okay? You normally can hear people approaching you from a mile away."

"Not if I'm in a secluded part of the school that is only reserved for really quiet lunches and studies and introversion!" Falcon said back, sighing. "I know you guys like to call me a ninja but I have no eyes at the back of my head!"

"Sometimes you seem like you do..."

Falcon just gave her a look until she backed down. "Okay, okay. Fine. You're not invulnerable."

"Thank you. And to tell you the truth, the group's doing great. We have Miguel and Jesse joining in, so we're back in the competition," Falcon said casually, and Violet looked up to stare at Jesse who was halfway through a sandwich.

"Uhm... I can explain," Jesse started.

"Later," Violet said, before finally her eyes turned to what Falcon was poring over. "Are those about the school shootings?"

Falcon winced. "Yes?"

"Why and how?"

Falcon sighed. "First off, all I did was pluck stats, and whatever information is exposed to the public."

"You trying to find the shooter's identity?"

"That's not important to me, what's important is the pattern of his killings. It seems to cover an entire range of schools, though lately it seems to be narrowing down to colleges and polytechnics. It seems like he's searching for somebody. Somebody around this age range," Falcon gestured to another paper, but was covered in scribbles, "and is inflicting massive damages. He hopes in hurting and killing enough of the students, it would stop...? I don't know, I'm certain he's searching for someone but leaves no qualms about leaving a huge mess of destruction behind."

"Can't you ask Rex?" Violet asked.

Falcon frowned. "Strangest thing happened when I did. He said he was too busy trying to catch another guy. Until he's freed up of a douchebag I'm just going to scan these stats and hopefully find the pattern. He's striking randomly too, which is odd, considering that the first attack was here..." She pointed at one end of a map. "... second attack here..." She pointed somewhere north of the map, quite far from the first attack. "... third attack all the way..." She flipped through the pages, hoping to find the general location map. "... here. Which is superbly far away."

Violet's head was buzzing. "Dates between the attacks, do we know them?"

"They remain constant, a few days. Now is an outlier, it's been a week. A week without any attack. It could be he found what he was looking for, which is highly unlikely considering he only plowed through three out of the ten colleges and polytechnics combined in this whole country... OR he's just planning something bigger."
