The first thing Valerie realized when she came to, was that she was still at Falcon's house. There was a second thing, and that was Falcon's jacket draped over her like a blanket. She was still seated on the sofa, where she had drifted off after the day and the recording.

She remembered saying, "I'm hungry," and Falcon had gotten up to get some food because... there was not any in the house? She was not certain. But she was sure that Falcon's jacket was not on her when she ultimately fell asleep. Falcon must have put it on her.

She pulled it on. It was warm, and cozy, and it smelled of... home? It gave off a homey scent. And it was nice.

Falcon was nice...

Wait, what time was it?

"Oh good, you're awake," Miguel's voice floated from the kitchen as she pulled Falcon's jacket around her tighter. The older girl was taller than she was, and she enjoyed the oversized quality of her jacket. "I made food! Falcon failed to come back with quality fast food."

"Wh-wha...?" Halfway through the recording, Miguel had waltzed in and helped them out a little with instruments.

Were siblings always meant to be that close, yet distant?

"Serious... McDonald's is just down the street, near the hospital. How long does it have to be?" Miguel huffed, as he produced two... burned eggs. "Uhm... I can't cook."

Neither could Falcon. Valerie giggled, before frowning. "Did she not leave... like two hours ago?"

Miguel's eyes widened and he immediately leapt for his phone. "Unless fast food isn't fast food she should be here."

Just before he could call Falcon, the phone rang and he quickly answered it.

"Hello?"

"Is this the Kendrick residences?"

Miguel looked up at Valerie and then down at the phone. "... yes. This is her brother speaking."

"Oh my God..." Valerie said, in shock. "She couldn't... could she...?"

I don't know, he mouthed back.

"We picked up your sister... could you please get in contact with your parents please? She has gotten into a fight."

A fight.

The hell? No. Miguel knew his sister had resorted to being a pacifist. But why a fight? How? Why?

"I'm calling them, I'm on my way. Bye." He hung up the phone and pinched the bridge of his nose. Dark circles were under his eyes ever since the Michael concert. He was so stressed out.

"You need backup support? I take it your parents are not going to take the news well," Valerie said softly.

Miguel stared at her for a moment then sighed. "Yeah... yeah. I think I need it."

The sound of the doors opening startled Falcon every time. This was not the first time she had been in there, but this was the first time in a long while.

She pulled herself out of her mode and followed the officers easily. Internally, she was screaming at herself.

She was not an adult yet. She was not an adult yet.

And yet seeing her parents, Valerie, Jared, Elly, Violet and Miguel at the front made her feel terrible. Not to mention Violet's parents and Jared's parents there, Elly's parents were probably on their way.
