"Father! Stop this senseless war!"

Luc has been pleading to the Demon King to stop this stupid war since he returned to Him.

"I told you he's a weakling," mocks Sharkie with a sneer.

Luc protests, "Only a strong man would admit his mistakes and corrects them. You know this is pointless, Father. Even if you won and killed the Guardians. This beautiful planet would end up like your Homeland. The bloody moon. A scorched Earth, not fit to live."

"Are you done yet?" asks his father angrily.

"No, not yet! We could just share with me humans. Split this world into half. The Guardians powers are the ones keeping this planet flourish. Without them, everything would die. Just like the moon."

"Enough!"

His father unleashes a powerful dark aura that sent Luc thrown backwards. His body hits against the wall very hard. Poor Luc coughs some blood as the result.

His father rises and leaves his throne room.

Sharkie sneers and follows him.

Luc just lies there. Staring to the ceiling.

Ariadne kneels down and weaves a silk handkerchief using her web threads. She wipes away the blood around his mouth.

She says, "You know it's useless to change his mind."

"I have to. Even if he would kill me. This is wrong. There is no future for us if this war continued. Humans, demons, all the creatures in this world would perished."

Ariadne says, "Whatever your decision, we would follow you to the end, Master Rathbone."

"Thank you."

The Demon King walks to the balcony. He stares to the night sky. To the bloody colored moon above him.

It's used to be a peaceful land. Until his younger brother tried to kill him. To achieve his throne as the King.

The bloody war continued between the siblings. Raged on to the entire moon. None of the brothers were willing for any truce.

Killed or to be killed.

That's what they thought to everyone in the moon.

He killed his brother in one of the last battles.

The long war finally ended.

But the damages were too great.

No food resources left.

All the demons got so used to killing, they wouldn't stop and return to normal peaceful life.

Killing meant more power. The quickest way to get stronger.

His people would perished if this way of life continued.

That's when he looks upward. Sought another planet to live.

He found this beautiful planet a millennium ago. Guarded by ancient spirits. Powerful enough to stall him.

He sighs.

Would he be making the same mistake again?

Ruining another beautiful planet. Turning it into scorched Earth.

"Father, don't listen to that weakling. He is trying to confuse your mind. Humans are too delicious for us."

"Leave me alone, Sharkie."

His youngest son is pouting when he leaves the balcony.

The Demon King stares to the red moon again.

Luc grabs his sword. He practices his fighting skills. Always be prepared. Sharkie is always trying to kill him in any chance he found. A real backstabber.

Not all the demons are satisfied with his father's rule. Some of them are wishing to lead more stable life.

He has ordered Ariadne to find out more about them. Maybe he could gather up some followers. To do his grandest idea.

The Arachnes would be great in leading a stable life. They could make clothes, excellent wine, and etc. Their talents are wasted in this peril time.

A city for all demons to live out of harm. A city where all creatures young and old demons could live peacefully.

Luc is planning to built that city.

Showing his father that it is possible for demons to live in peace.

Killed or to be killed.

It shall not granted in his city.

Order shall rule the city.

Not total chaos.

He hasn't realized it when someone is watching him.

A blade is strikes near his throat. Luc uses his blade to defend himself. His father is an excellent fighter. Luc would be killed easily if he had wanted it. Right now he is just testing his fighting skills.

"Tell me, Son. Why you kept defending the humans?"

"Not for the humans. But all of us. Demons, animals, all living beings in this planet. This stupid war dragged on and nothing shall live here anymore."

His father is silent.

Luc presses, "You know I'm right. Just too stubborn to admit it."

"What would you do if you're me?"

His father parries Luc's attacks easily.

Luc replies, "Made a truce with the Guardians. Built a fortress city for us, demons. We needs rules to prosper. Total chaos would only annihilated us all."

His father lowers down his blade. His shadow form finally becomes solid like a real person.

"Father, your form..."

"It seems you have convinced me, son. Let's see your blueprint. Maybe we could create our dream city together."

Luc puts his blade back to it's sheath. For the first time in his life, he smiles to his father.

The Demon King scolds, "You should have stayed as a breeder. Countless cute handsome baby shall be born with your seeds."

"No thanks. Don't you dare ruining my mood."

For the first time in a millennium, the Demon King laughs heartily.

The father and son walk away to draw a city blue print.

Sharkie hits a wall in his rage.

A large chunk falls from the wall.

His foolish father has turned into a weakling.

Time to remind everyone how a real demon shall act.

Fierce and ruthless being.

Feared by all.

Bow down to no one.

Sharkie sneers.

His brother would think he has won. He has saved his precious little humans.

Well, he would have the last laughing. Making Luc a laughing stock of the century.

"What are you looking at, Spider?" yells Sharkie.

Ariadne hisses to him.

Sharkie chokes her up.

He warns, "Be polite to me. Or I shall crush your pretty slender neck."

He throws her and she crashes to a wall very hard.

Sharkie sneers. Felt good being in charge. No one shall dare to cross him again in the future.
