Both y/n and Bakugou were thrown apart, a loud explosion sounding, the popping of joints echoing around the stadium. Bakugou flew straight over the boundary line and into the far wall, cracking it on impact. The boy's jaw was dislocated, one of his canines chipped, meanwhile blood cascaded down his upper lip and down his chin. Though he could feel no pain as he had blacked out the moment he was hit by y/n's energy blast.

Y/n, on the other hand, remained in bounds, tumbling and rolling along the floor. His shoulders were dislocated, his wrist bones fractured. As he stopped rolling, y/n gasped and panted, gritting his teeth as the pain overwhelmed him. As his vision blurred, y/n caught a glimpse of Bakugou on the other side of the field, unconscious and out of bounds. He had won, but y/n could find no strength to feel happy about it.

The stadium was quiet, nobody daring to say anything after what they just witnessed. Both of the competitors were down, both in what seemed to be critical condition.

"Kacchan..." Midoriya looked at his childhood friend with concern. Never in his life had he ever seen Bakugou unconscious, let alone because he lost a fight. The students and the audience watched as Midnight and Cementoss looked over Bakugou and y/n. The female teacher had the two boys carried off to Recovery Girl's room. She then walked to the center of the arena.

"As of now, there will be no winner! After evaluating the events further, we will decide who the winner is!" She announced, the crowd beginning to whisper and murmur amongst themselves. Midoriya and his classmates exchanged worried glances, a few of them deciding to head towards the nurse's office to check on y/n and Bakugou. Upon entering, Midoriya, Uraraka, Kirishima, and Kaminari saw Recovery Girl casting y/n's forearms, Bakugou in the cot next to his, already patched up. Both boys were unconscious, so Recovery Girl had yet to give them her healing kiss. First-aid was the best option for the moment.

"How are they?" Midoriya decided to speak up. Recovery Girl didn't look up, still focusing on her task.

"Bakugou had it worse, but they were both in critical condition. Seriously, do you kids not know how to hold back?!" The old woman huffed, finally turning around as she finished the casting. Before anyone could say anything, Aizawa and Midnight entered the room, closing the door behind them softly.

"What's the damage?" Midnight questioned.

"Eita has fractured wrists and dislocated shoulders, which I've restored, of course. He passed out from the pain. Bakugou, on the other hand, dislocated his jaw, had internal bleeding, a concussion, and a minor dental issue." Recovery Girl explained, looking over her clipboard with specific notes written down. The four conscious students in the room exchanged glances, concerned about the conditions of their friends. Midnight sighed and placed her hands on her hips.

"Considering the reckless move that Eita had showcased, putting Bakugou and himself in such conditions, we're going to have to disqualify him." Midnight explained.

"What?!" Midoriya, Uraraka, Kirishima, and Kaminari exclaimed in unison.

"We had looked back on the match and talked it over. Eita used the move intentionally, meaning he was fully aware of the consequences of his actions. Going that far is against the rules, seeing as it puts our students in critical states. We have no choice but to disqualify Eita." Aizawa told them, his voice muffled behind the heavy bandaging he wore. "That's all we had to say, Recovery Girl. Give them the news when they regain consciousness. If Bakugou is okay to leave, we'll be having the awards ceremony in ten minutes." And with that, he and Midnight left the room, leaving the rest in silence.
