Marnie's POV

He was right, I was always hearing how people were sorry and never genuinely meaning it. We were having the second half of the sleepover for Giselle, Benito called Paola and told him about Serina showing up for what was supposed to be a private family meeting among the top men in the families. That's what Paola explained, I wasn't calling to be nosy or because I don't trust him. I was calling because I don't trust Serina, I know that I'm not like her and I maybe what she called a downgrade from what he's used to.

The girls parents came early after they were all fed, they each went home after a great weekend spent with Giselle. Giselle had a lot of fun and I don't even think she thought about her siblings not attending her party and her sister not coming to her sleepover.

"That was fun, they enjoyed themselves—"

The gate buzzer went off, I clicked the the screen near my front door as Paola steps beside me.

"Umm, hello?" I spoke into the intercom.

"Hi, Marnie Taylor? I'm Grayson Ryan—"

"Let him in!" Paola smiled as I glanced at her.

"I don't know him!.." I pointed at the screen.

"That's our family jeweler!" She smiles and my face skin started to heat up.

"Call my brother and have him confirm!"

I picked up my phone then called Theo, it rings for a bit then he answers.

"Good morning—"

"Good morning to you too but hey, someone's here by Gra—" I got ready to say.

"Grayson Ryan?"

"Yeah.." I replied.

"He's a family friend and our family jeweler, did he show you anything that you'd like?" He asks and I almost choked.

"I haven't even let him in yet!" I expressed and he laughs.

"Let him in, there's a few things that I want you to see.." he insisted, I lean towards the intercom then buzzed him in.

"Come in.."

"Pick whatever you like, Giselle too!" Theo says as I glanced at Paola, she did a little happy dance behind me.

"I'm staying for this, BYE, THEODORE!" Paola yells from behind me, I shook my head as he laughs.

"Bye, I'll be back by later on tonight and if you're awake, I wanna take you out to dinner or a broadway show."

"Bitch, say both!" Paola whispers while gesturing her hand.

"Umm, whats the dress code? I don't really have much!" I expressed as she now opens the door for the jeweler.

"Formal.." he answered.

"Okay." We hung up, the jeweler carried a big suitcase as I gestured for him to bring it into the living room. He sets everything up as I walked to the bottom step of the stairs and call out for Giselle, she comes downstairs with her unicorn pillow and we walked into the living room.

"Giselle, this is Mr. Ryan." I introduced her to him.

"Hi, nice to meet you!" She sticks her hand out and shakes his hand, he then shakes mine.

"I have a very lovely line of jewels for you beautiful ladies to look at today.." he walks us over to the first set and my mouth drops as Paola takes out her phone.

"These are one of a kind Rose Gold Water Lilly studs! We carry them in two different styles, this one and silver! Would you like to try them on?" He asks her, Giselle looks up at me and I nodded my head yes in approval.
