Marnie's POV
Flashback

"I like these, can I wear these?" I asked my mommy while tapping my foot to the piano playing across the room as she did my hair.

"I'm afraid these don't go with your dress, maybe we should try on another one?"

"But I like this one, it makes me feel like a princess! Do I have to change it, I can pick the other shoes then!"

"Okay, don't change your mind again because once these come off then we have to go!" She says as I nodded my head.

"Sure, I just wanna get there so I can try the strawberry cheesecake truffles!" I insisted as she laughs.

"You and your strawberries, we have to pick some more from the garden out back! What do you think about picking some tomorrow?"

"Only if I can have my own basket, Maya doesn't share!" I expressed as she glances at my older siblings and they shrugged.

"You don't want her to choke right or die! We gotta protect her!" Malik, my older brother says as my mom chuckles a bit.

"I'm 4 years old, I'm a big girl now! Right?"

"Yes, sweetheart, you're my brave girl and still my baby!" My mommy says as I smiled, my sisters reached out for my hands and they lead the way back upstairs so I can change my shoes.

"Do you remember the routine that we're going to do for mom?" Maya asks me while our sister Malia gets my shoes.

"A little bit, I can't really remember it too well.. Should we do it again?" I asked and they nodded yes.

"Okay, I'm sorry.." I put my head down but then they both kneel down in front of me.

"It's nothing to worry about, it happens! Watch us then you try it, we'll be there every step of the way!"

"Okay.."

"Tap your foot, feel the music coming in and when you see the slide.. 1, 2, 3.. Go!"

I sung the song in my head the entire time until we got to the viewing party. I'm gonna mess this up, I always do. I'm so clumsy and my daddy gets mad at me because of it but mommy says it's okay. We were going to a showcasing for mommy's new jewelry line at one of her stores, she says that these are gonna be special because these are gonna be dedicated to her kids.

I'm excited, I'm more excited for the desserts table though. She promised lots of strawberry treats so I'm gonna be on my best behavior so I can take some home with us.

My daddy isn't here yet, he's never really on time for important things and my mommy tries not to cry a lot. I don't understand too much but he doesn't come home too much either, he says the word divorce a lot and my mommy agrees with it but they still argue or he yells at her. I guess that's normal, right? Oh well. My mommy's happy at this moment right now so that's all that matters.

"Okay, come on kids!"

My brother gets out of the limousine first then helps my sisters out then helps me too, our mommy exits last. There was always someone taking our pictures, I always felt like a little princess. I waved at everyone, they always waved back and they were friendly too. Sometimes they even ask questions and I'm not much of a talker but I try.

My mommy held my hand as he entered the big store, there was even more people around the store. There was so much precious jewelry, I own a pair of earrings. I think I got them for my birthday but daddy says that he has them for safekeeping so he gave me another pair until I get older.

"Would you like some juice?"

"Ohh, yes, please!"

"Here!" A server with dirty blonde hair and dark blue eyes and paled freckled skin. She leaned down and handed me a juice box with a smile.
