Zombie Apocalypse Metranome Virus

Chapter 8

Okay, so I know the last chapter didn't have much action in it, that may be why I didn't get many votes. But get ready for some zombie action!:D I know right, finally. I've been thinking on how to do this chapter for a while and I really hope you guys like it!:D

Zayne's pov

I looked at Brittany. I saw the fire burning in her eyes, and you couldd tell she was going to do all she could to get her brother back. I knew how much she loved Tj, last night while she was sobbing in her sleep yelling, "Please no! Don't take him! Please, he's all I have left." It broke my heart thinking that she was hurting.

I walked up to her and embraced her in my arms and felt her relax instantly. I smiled into her neck which caused her to giggle. "You ready?" I asked pulling back but still keeping her in my arms.

"As I'll ever be." She stated with confidence.

I smiled at how sure she was and went in for another hug and gave her a kiss on her cheek and I felt her cheeks burning under my lips and I smiled in brighter.

"if you keep this up, we're never going to leave" He stated breathlessly.

"I guess your right. But it doesn't sound like such a bad idea." I said giving her a wink.

She slapped my chest playfully. "You're such a player!" She yelled at me jokingly giving me a beautiful smile that I would do anything to be the cause of.

"I don't know, on the way in here I saw a pretty hot looking zombie trying to chase us." I said winking at her and wiggling my eyebrows.

"Haha okay stud." She smiled and started heading towards the door. "Maybe you can sleep with her next time instead of me?" She winked and I followed her.

Brittany looked throug one of the planks that were nailed to the window. "It's clear, for now." She said griping he crowbar we found her. I followed her actions and tightened my grip on the base of the large wooden bat in my hands. "Ready?" She asked and I noded her a yes.

I went over to move the objects Tj and Daniel had put against the door. I was trying to work as quickly and quietly as I could to insure we didn't get any unwanted company.

Whenever I got all the furniture away from the door Brittany took one last look through the window. "There's two of them walking around out there."

I nodded to her and readied my bat one last time and kicked open the door. As soon as my heavy combat boot connected with the door the two zombie's heads snapped in my direction. They let out an ear piercing scream at ran at me. I stood my ground and waited.

They were nearing closer and closer and I stood as still as stone with the bat poised behind me. "MOVE!" Brittany frantically yelled. Now they were a mere few feet from me.

The first one made it right in front of me and I brought the bat in front of me with as much power as I could muster. And the bat connected with the zombie's head. I watched it all in slow motion, the bat connecting with its skull, the large split down its forehead, and the sickening "crack" which resulted in the zombie falling on the ground with its brain leaking onto the pavement.

I looked back up and saw the mouth of the other zombie hanging open in front of my face. "AHHHHH!" I screamed and scrambled back. I looked back up to see Brittany grabbing the zombies head by its hair. She killed it?! And why is she holding it in front of me?

"Hahahahahah! Oh.My.God your face was freaking hilarious!" She roared.

"You surprised me." I simply stated and dusted the dirt off of my shirt.

"Whatever chicken." she said smiling at me.

"I'll remember that next time." I said gulping.

"What's that supposed to mean?" She asked confused.

"That." I said and looked in front if us.

In front of us was a horde of at least 20 zombies. "Not so funny now huh?" I asked.

"Nope."
