Namjoon ~
After we pulled away, Jin stared at me with his pretty brown eyes, dazed. "What'd you do that for?" He asked, confused, but surprisingly not angry.
I've been asking myself the same question for the last couple seconds. "I, I don't know, but it just felt right."
He just blushed and looked away, for once, I didn't make fun of him for it, as I was blushing, too. Overhead, the speakers in the store announced that it was closing time. "C'mon, let's go to the cash registers."
I paid for everything, and carried most of the grocery bags. Even though Jin insisted on trying to carry more, but I felt like a gentleman, so I refused to let him carry anymore.
"Just because I'm a twink doesn't mean I'm not strong." He protested.
"No, but it does mean I'm going to treat you right." I added a wink, too, just to fluster him a little. I wasn't too used to people getting this comfortable with me, so I'm not really sure how to speak to him. He punched me lightly in the shoulder, and I stoped walking.
"What? Was my punch too strong for you? What happened to you being macho?" He asked amused as he turned and walked back over to me with his hands on his hips. His tiny little waist made them all the more enjoyable to look at.
"Is it just me, or do you kinda not wanna go home? Or at least not inside."
"Yeah," he responded, "I like your backyard. Can we go there? At least we can't get stabbed there."
"Yeah, sure." I smiled at him, and he gave me a small smile back.
So I drove us home, and I was excited. I had no idea why. I was really confused why Jin put me in such a good mood, as moody and gloomy as he was.
We made it home, and we threw the groceries onto the kitchen floor, only taking one bag with us. Jin turned to me, "Last one there is gay!" and he sprinted off.
I immediately began sprinting, "How does that make any sense?!" I yelled back as I beat him to the yard anyways. "Ha, I won!" I huffed.
"That's not fair!" He huffed as well as he tried to catch his breath, "You get to work out! I haven't in months!"
"Oh quit your whining!" I played as I walked over to him, where he'd sat on the grass at the far end of the fence.
We sat together and caught our breath, it was kind of weird. I was used to him panting, but this was different. I liked spending time with him like this, don't get me wrong though, I enjoy being on top of him a lot better. But this, I liked this. After all, he did live in my house, I might as well develop a friendship or something.
He started shuffling around with the bag we brought outside, and as I looked over his shoulder curiously, I saw his face light up as he brought the box out of the bag. He held it up to me so I'd get a good look. "Look," he said smiling above the cardboard, "I threw ice cream sandwhiches in the cart when you weren't looking!" He pulled two out of the box and waved one infront of me, "Want one?"
"Sure," I said as I reached out and tried to take it, but he pulled his hand away before I could reach it. "What?"
"Beg," he said with a grin spread over his face.
"What? No way!," I answered.
"Then you don't get one," he teased me and waved it slowly infront of my eyes. "You've gotta beg."
I pushed him back lightly and got between his legs, "Oh, I think you've misunderstood." I said, with barely any space between us. "I don't do the begging around here," I pushed some soft black hair away from his eyes While he sat there flustered, I snatched the ice cream out of his hand.
"H-hey!" He said, "What the fuck?"
I opened it and got back into my spot next to him, "You let your gaurd down. Well, I would too if a sexy beast like me said that."
He opened his own, "Oh shut up," he laughed as he laid down in the grass and looked up at the sky. We were quiet for a little. "You ever think about space?"
"It doesn't really cross my mind,"
"Pluto should be a planet." He said.
"And sharks are just ocean puppies, what's your point?"
"Pluto is just trying it's best and then some janky scientist decides to renounce it's status? That's bullshit if you ask me."
"How are you even up to date with this planet stuff?"
Seokjin shrugged his broad shoulders at me, "I dunno, I guess I just spent so much time looking at the night sky as a kid that I ended up caring about it." Once he processed what he said, his eyes widend slightly, but he tried to play it cool, "Pretty dumb, huh?"
"No," I replied, not once removing my gaze from the stars above. "I don't think it's dumb. I think it's kinda cool that you say you keep tabs on this stuff."
"Really? I thought you'd call me a nerd." He seemed to have been holding his breath a little before.
"Oh no, this totally makes you a nerd, but that's not so bad." I answered.
He pushed me over, "Shut up!"
We laid in the grass together, staring at the stars, eating ice cream sandwhich after ice cream sandwhich, but then I spoke up.
"Why'd you spend so much time staring at the sky?"
He tensed up a little, "Uhm, my, my parents. They, uh, they argued a lot. They'd fight all the time, and it didn't even matter to them if I could hear it. So ever since I was around four, I'd crawl onto the little rooftop out my window with a nice blanket and stare at the sky. I couldn't really hear them from there," he let out a deep breath, "Not when the night was out." I was speechless, I didn't really know what to say. "That's pathetic, too, isn't it?"
"No!" I cleared my throat, "No, it isn't. Everyone has their things that help distract, why would you think it's pathetic?"
"My mom always said it was," he said quietly, "She always thought what I thought was idiotic." A tear rolled down his cheek, "She never cared for me, really, she would just chainsmoke and bully me like it was a sport. 'oh, you're too fat', 'you're so ungrateful', 'no one will love you', 'no one would miss you'. I just can't believe she kicked me out." He realized he was rambling and pulled his sleeve down over her palms to wipe his eyes. "I shouldn't have said anything, I'm sorry for making you listen to tha-"
I cut him off with another kiss, I felt like he needed to know someone cared. His lips answered the call of my own, and moved along with the rythym. This one wasn't long, but not short either. Once we seperated, I looked him in the eyes, and then slung my arms around him, pulling him in for a hug, "I'd miss you." I spoke.
