Namjoon ~
We head back, only to find a cute picnic on the front lawn. There was a blanket set out and everything. There was a tree a few feet away in case we were in need of shade. Not that Seokjin hadn't thrown enough of it. There were even some flower petals scattered around the picnic.
"Wow," Jin gasped, "This is so cute!" He cheered, "I didn't know Gahyeon was having someone over! Let alone for a date!"
"What?" I asked to no one in particular, "That's not for 'Yeon."
"Who's it for, then?"
"Uh," I scratched the back of my neck awkwardly, "You."
He rolled his eyes, was not expecting that response. "Cut it out, Namjoon, don't get my hopes up."
"I'm serious," I said just as Gahyeon ran outside with a bouquet.
She leaned over to me and whispered, "You can paypal me this later." She gave me a pat on the shoulder, "I'm proud of you." She ran off inside.
"You wanna smell 'em?" I asked, pointing to the flowers in my hands. The pink, white, and orange all blended together beautifully. I hoped he liked them.
"Cut the shit." Jin crossed his arms across his chest, "What is this?"
"My apology,"
"Oh," he said, "Now I get it." He smiled, "No wonder it sucks."
"You just said it was cute five minutes ago."
"That was before I knew you were behind it, now I hate it."
"You're so stubborn." I answered.
"And you're not?"
"Touché, doll."
He hesitated, "Talk. But if you say one dumb thing, I'm stealing the picnic basket and going inside."
"Oh, thank god." I cleared my throat, "Uh, these are for you." I handed him the bouquet.
Jin took it out of my hands, a small smile tugged at his lips, a smile I'd missed seeing. "Thanks," he stared at the flowers in his hand. "Can you believe no guy has given me flowers before?"
"Well, they definitely should be handing them to you for free. But flowers aren't as nice to look at as you are." I answered quickly. Damn, I was good.
"Oh, shut up and get on with whatever evil plan you're conducting." He snapped, the smile faltering, but appearing once again as he glanced at the flowers in his hands, tightening his grip on them slightly.
I cleared my throat, "I hate apologies. I can't stand them. Growing up, I would just pat my siblings on the shoulder and they'd accept it as an apology because that was all they'd ever get out of me." I fiddled with my fingers, twisting them around nervously. "But thanks to Gahyeon's annoying ass talking some sense into me, I know I need to apologize for my actions."
"Can't believe it took Gahyeon hounding you to make that decision." He scoffed, "Maybe, if you were more mature, I'd accept that as an apology. But you're not, so I won't. We done here?"
"No, Jinnie, wait, please."
"Don't call me that, Namjoon."
I sighed, "I'm really sorry. I know I shouldn't have told Matthew what I did tell him. It wasn't my place to. I just couldn't stand seeing you with another man. I feel stupid that it took me getting jealous to realize that I do want you, and I'm willing to let those fuck-buddies go if it means you're mine. I'm sorry, Seokjin."
"Oh, Namjoon," he smiled, and then tore that smile off of his face. "What utter bullshit." He threw the flowers on the ground. "Even your apology is a lie. I'm out." He took a few steps.
