"Are you excited?" I say and bite my lip.

"Super." Luke smiles and kisses my forehead.

It's December 19th and I am 5 months, and that means we are going to get to know the gender of our babies. It also means it's less than a week and it will be Christmas, also meaning we will be in Australia for a little while.

"How are you today?" It's Doctor Clara's first time seeing me in person.

"I'm great, thank you. And you?" I say politely.

"Fantastic. You know the procedure." She puts the cold jelly on my tummy and moves it around. "You want to know the genders today right?"

"Yes." Luke says eagerly.

She nods and looks at the screen for a little. "Okay baby one is right here." She points to the screen. "Here is his little winkie." I giggle at that. "Baby number two is right here and it's a girl."

"We really don't have to have any kids after this now, do we?" I tease and he frowns. "You know I'm teasing. We'll talk about that in a few years."

"Okay I will go make copies." She leaves us.

"Have you picked any names yet?" I ask.

"To be honest I've only looked at boy names." He laughs.

"What have you come up with?" I say as I wipe off the gunk.

"Samuel." I smile big.

"That is so cute. What about Samuel Lee?" I ask.

"That sounds great babe." He agrees.

"For girl what about Elodie Lynn?" I question.

"They sound great." He agrees with me again and we head out with our copies of the ultrasounds.

"Mum we're home." We walk through the door.

"How did it go?" She asks with a smile on her face.

"Great." He hands his mom her ultrasound. "Boy." He points to Samuel. "Girl." He points to Elodie.

"Do you have names?" She asks.

"Do you want to tell anyone names yet?" He asks me.

"Samuel Lee Hemmings and Elodie Lynn Hemmings." I smile.

"That's so cute." She says and hangs the ultrasound on the fridge.

"Thank you." We say at the same time and laugh together.

"No more babies after Sammy and Ellie for at least seven years, okay?" She tells us.

"I agree." I sit down. "This is crap."

Luke walks out of the room and somewhere else.

"How are you feeling?" She sits in a chair at the table with me.

"Feeling as in my emotions or as in with the twins?" I question.

"Both." She takes a sip of tea. "Do you want any?"

"Yes please." I say. "My emotions are normal and I'm feeling exhausted but I need to get up and do things."

She sets a glass of tea in front of me. "Maybe you should try swimming?"

"Thank you. Maybe I will try that." I smile and take a sip.

"Do you want to go to Michael's?" Luke stands in the doorway with his shoes on already.

"Um sure." I get up. "Thank you again."

"Come to me any time." She replies.
