The ninja were sleeping in bunk beds and Misty was sleeping in a bed by herself.
"Couldn't sleep either?" Jay said and him Lloyd and Kai slid out of their bunks. They were soon joined by Misty, who yawned and said "Even if I tried to sleep I couldn't I can't go through that nightmare again...."
"And I can't sleep not when we still have to get Zane and Cole back." Kai said
Lloyd groaned and said "Speaking of backs, these new beds are the worst. All right, let's do---" Lloyd didn't get to finish as there was a gong sound and the light was turned on.
"Quick, back in bed." Kai said
All of them leapt back into bed.
People began to wake up and groaned as the gong sound continued.
"Good morning, fighters. Oh, that's right, it's the middle of the night." Clouse said
A person strapped skates onto Misty's feet. she heard complaints from her fellow ninja.
Kai fell but Skylor helped him up.
"Let me guess, another one of Chen's impromptu battles?" Lloyd said
"Oh, roller skates. I love roller skates!" Jay said
"We should be getting used to this by now." Lloyd muttered
"Did I ever mention I once placed first in the Mother-Son Skate-Off. Heh, heh. I should have never admitted that." Jay said as he skated around the room.
"Weirdo" Mr. Pale said
"Hey I'm not bad at skating myself." Misty said and she skated up next to Lloyd.
When I was board I would cover the ground with a sheet of crystal a skate across is it was really fun.... except for the times I fell those times weren't fun at all...." she muttered
"Master Chen wants everyone in the Royal Arena. I wouldn't be late if I were you." Clouse said
"If most of us have already thought, why are we all in skates?" Skylor asked
"Only two of you will be fighting, but the rest of you will have a chance to affect the outcome." Clouse said
"Who's fighting? Tell us now." Turner said
"Hopefully not me..." Misty said softly
"The Green Ninja versus Master of Form." Clouse said
"On second thought want to trade places Lloyd." Misty said
As Clouse left the room.
"Master of Form? Who's that?" Lloyd asked
"You haven't heard? I hear she can look like anyone. She'd be right under your nose, and by the time you figure it out, she's already discovered all your weaknesses, then it's game over. But you're the Green Ninja what weakness could you have?" Kai explained
"Ugh. Aside from the sore back, not many." Lloyd said
"Thanks." Kai said and he skated off.
"Skates." Kai said he had come up beside Lloyd and Misty.
" Kai?!" Lloyd said and he jumped in surprise.
"Why did it have to be skates?" Kai said and he fell on his back
"So if this is Kai which I can totally believe... then that means..."Misty said an they looked in the direction f where "Kai" had skated off in.
"Watch your back, Green Ninja." Camille said and she changed back into herself
As all of them were skating to the Royal Arena. Lloyd asked Misty "Why did you want to trade places with me?"
"Because Lloyd.. your the Green Ninja and...." She didn't get to finish when Lloyd said "I wish you just treated me like Lloyd... and not the "Green Ninja... the whole time we've been here you've been acting different toward me... Why is that Misty? Did I do something to upset you?" Lloyd asked
"No... of course not.. it's just.." Misty began to say and she met Lloyd's eye's and her face turned red and said "It's complicated..." and looked at the ground unable to meet Lloyd's eyes.
"It can't be more complicated than anything Chen can think up... please just tell me Misty."
"I...I... want.. to... Lloyd I really do want to but I can't...I'm sorry." Misty whispered
She remembered something Garmadon had said to her before hand. He told her that if Lloyd did like her in return and she told him... then both of them together would become an even bigger target to Chen. And Chen would most likely use them against the other.
Lloyd frowned and said then here's the deal. "If I win then you have to tell me what's going on... and if I lose then I can't bug you to tell me, sound good?"
Misty sighed and said "Then I guess I better start thinking of a way to explain myself...because Lloyd your not going to lose."
Lloyd nodded and smiled, and said, "Then I'll be waiting for that explanation."
