The group watched Turner, Master of Speed, versus Gravis, Master of Gravity. The Master of Speed was the victor.
They also watched Neuro, Master of Mind versus Bolobo, Master of Nature. The Master of Mind was the victor and then it was Kai, Master of Fire, versus Ash, Master of Smoke!
Kai was Ash were on a rope and wooden bridge over a river of Lava the Jade Blade was in the middle of the bridge.
"This island is so messed up..." Misty muttered
"Kai, Master of Fire, versus Ash, Master of Smoke! Fight!" Chen shouted
Kai at first tried to run straight for the blade. but Ash rocked the bridge and Kia tumbled off and was barely able to hang on with one hand.
The Blade fell off the bridge and landed embed in a rock below.
Ash continued to run across the bridge an Kai climbed under the bridge.
"Come on, Kai, you can do it!" Lloyd said
Kai swung himself and broke through under the bridge he tried to kick Ash before he landed but Ash disappeared and reappeared after Kai had landed.
Ash laughed and shot Kai with some smoke.
Kai again tried to kick Ash but again the Master of Smoke disappeared.
Ash had no trouble punching and landing blows on Kai though. And one of his punches sent Kia flying backward and he broke the bridge's boards and was again barely able to hang on to the bridge.
"Kai!" Misty screamed
While Kai dangled from one hand. Ash shot more smoke at him. But as Kai dodge the smoke the board he was holding on too snapped and it broke in half.
He used Spinjitzu to land back on the bridge but was again kicked by Ash.
"Come on, Kai. Use your power!" Lloyd shouted
"No! Lloyd he'll break the bridge!" Misty said
But it was too late because Kai shouted "Fire!"
But Ash disappeared and the fire hit the fragile wooden bridge behind him.
Then Ash reappeared behind Kai and forced Kai to hit the bridge again this time the bridge broke forcing the two to continue the fight on the rock's below.
After a long struggle Kai was able to snatch the Blade.
"Winner!" Chen shouted
Everyone cheered
"Yeah! Kai!" Misty shouted and she jumped up and down.
"Loser. Master of Fire moves on." Chen said
