All of them were sitting at a table there was plates of food on it and the Kabuki were bring more plates of strange food.
"Try the horned wasp eggs. Delicious!" Chen said
"Uh, I think I'll pass." Lloyd said
"Oh, lighten up, Green Ninja. This isn't a trick this is a feast to celebrate the eight of you making it to the second round" Chen said.
The Kabuki laughed and clapped.
"And I must congratulate the Master of Shadow's defeat over Master of Poison. She was a bit hard to swallow, am I right?" Chen said
The Kabuki laughed again.
"Laugh harder! Ha-ha-ha!" Chen shouted at the Kabuki.
And they started laughing harder.
"You can relax, Lloyd. Even if there was a fight, now that we told the others about Chen's dirty plot to steal our powers, we're safe in our secret alliance." Kai said
"I tried to enlist Shadow, but that dude's throwing some serious shade." Turner said
"Well, if you plan to stop Chen, you'll need everyone on board. Each fighter that loses, give him strength. Soon he'll be too powerful for even all of you combined to overcome." Garmadon said
"Oh, I almost forgot... Misty you still need to tell me what's going on..." Lloyd said to Misty she was in the middle of getting a drink of water and choked on it slightly.
"Oh, yes... I forgot about that... can I tell you later Lloyd?" Misty said coughing.
"I suppose but you need to tell me soon, you promised you would."
"And I'll keep my promise."
"It has come to my attention that there are rumors floating about that I am stealing everyone's power. I am." Chen said
Everyone began to whisper.
"But it's all for this staff. No, no. Not you, staff. I mean my real staff."
The Kabuki brought Chen a glowing staff.
"The Staff of Elements. it holds the power of your fallen foes, It holds the power of your fallen foes, and soon it'll hold all but one. For the last standing in my tournament will win this prize and be the greatest fighter ever in the history of Ninjago." Chen said
"You lie. What about the spell?" Lloyd shouted
"Spell? What spell?" Clouse said
"Don't believe him, it's just another trick. Neuro read Clouse's mind and saw it. Tell them what you saw, Neuro." Lloyd said
"I-- I don't remember. Truthfully, I'm a bit more interested in knowing more about that staff." Neuro said
"And why we be so quick to believe everything you say? How do we know you're not lying to get the staff for yourself?" Turner said
While everyone was whispering.
Misty saw Skylor break open a fortune cookie and she read it and gasped.
"Must be a really bad fortune Misty though and then she narrowed her eyes or something else.
"So much for the alliance." Garmadon said
"They believe him over us?" Lloyd sighed
"If we're gonna convince anyone, argh, we need proof." Jay said and he grunted as a Kabuki kept hitting him with her fan. "We need to, argh, find that spell. Would you cut it out?" He said
"Jay, It's me." Nya whispered
"Nya?" All of the ninja said
"Lower your voices. I'm undercover. And to be completely honest, a bit out of my element. And I heard what happened to Cole. That was big of you both." Nya said
"Love is like war, Nya. Everybody gets hurt." Jay said '
Misty said nothing and rolled her eyes.
"Is it just you, sis?" Kai asked
"Darreth's also on the island." Nya explained
"What up, ninja?" Darreth's voice came from Nya's bracelet
"And in contact with Wu via a mobile base." Nya said
"If you're undercover, that means you can get close to Clouse's Spell Book. All we know is that it's on page 149. I think he might have it in his quarters. " Kai said
"I'll look into it. And it sounds like you have your work out for you too." Nya said
"How so?" Jay
"How do you think they found out about your alliance? Someone in your circle is a spy." Nya explained
"A spy?" They all said in surprise
Nya then had to leave.
"Do you know that servant girl?" Skylor asked Kai she had walked over to him.
"Uh-- Know that girl? Heh. Of course not. Why jealous?" Kai said
"My fortune tells me Cole and your friend Zane will be breaking out. You're lucky this didn't end up in the wrong hands." Skylor said
"He found Zane, I can't believe it. Thanks, Skylor. It's good to know there are some people here we can trust." Kai said
"A spy? Who do you think it is?" Jay asked
"I have my suspicious." Lloyd said and he looked at Shadow.
