I then turn towards everyone in the club.
"Okay, you three!" I say, instead of my usual call since Sayori isn't in the room.
"We're all done sharing poems right?" I ask, "Why don't we start figuring out-"
"Hold on a second!" Natsuki shouts, "Is it just me, or did you say something strange just now?"
"Eh?" I ask.
I don't think I said anything at all.
"Something did sound a bit unusual.." Yuri says, "That's right, you deviated from your usual catchphrase when addressing the club."
Oh right. I said "Okay, you three!" instead of "Okay, everyone!" I already knew that, since Sayori's gone.
"C-Catchphrase?" I ask her, "I don't have a catchphrase."
"Jeez," Natsuki says, "Why is the mood so weird today? Look, even Yuri isn't immune to it."
"U-u.." Yuri stutters, "Stagnating air is common foreshadowing that something terrible is about to happen."
Sayori?
"In your books maybe," Andre says, "Look, the only thing different is that Sayori's not here."
"Ah.." Yuri says, "It seems you're right."
I sigh, knowing that she just realized this now.
"Sayori helps lighten the mood a bit doesn't she?" I lie, again. "It seems like everyone's balance is thrown off a little when she's not around."
"Where the heck did she run off to anyway?" Natsuki asks, "I thought she just went to pee."
"Natsuki, please show some decency." Yuri comments towards Natsuki's immatureness.
"Oh, come on!" Natsuki yells.
"Ah, she actually wasn't feeling too well and went home early." Andre says.
"Is that so?" Yuri asks, "I hope she's alright."
"Seriously?" Natsuki asks, "Of all the times to not go home with her, you pick the time she's not feeling too well? So much for you two being all lovey-dovey."
I cringe at her words.
"Ah-no!" Andre cries, "First of all, stop misunderstanding my friendship with Sayori! And second, she's kind of been avoiding me today, so I didn't want to force it."
Cause that's how I wanted it.
"Hoooooooh?" Yuri quizzically exclaims.
"That curios expression, coming from Yuri of all people??" Andre implies.
"Calm down guys," I say, "I talked to her earlier, and everything is fine."
"What did she say?" he asks.
I ignore his question, since I don't want him to know what I've been doing to her, since she's probably really important to him.
"Anyway, we need to figure out the festival preparations, so..." I change the topic.
"Let's decide what everyone will be doing this weekend." I continue.
"I already know what I'm doing." Natsuki exclaims.
She's making cupcakes, of course.
"That's right." I say, "Natsuki will be making cupcakes. But we need a lot of them, and different flavors, can you handle that all by yourself, Natsuki?"
"Challenge accepted." She replies, smirking.
"And as for myself," I start, thinking about this weekend.
