○°•● Reader's POV ●•°○

As a student at SiT, school tournaments were held from time to time for us to show what we've learned.

And at age 15 I got to be part of it.

Here I was now, fighting last year's champion. And the year before that, and the year before that...uh you know what I mean; Christopher Lo.

I was barely hanging on with five damage on the table and not more than 3 cards at hand and a not so defensive front row to intercept with. He's got 2 attacks left.

"Flamingo boosts, Honorary Professor Chat Noir attacks.." he says confidently making me panic.

"C-complete guard!"

One card left in hand, I can hang on if he doesn't get a trigger, I thought looking at the 10,000 sheild card in my hand and my 5,000 sheild rear guard to intercept.

"Twin drive, Critical Trigger; both effects to Geograph Giant. Second; Critical Trigger, all effects to Geograph."

"Oh no..." I sighed.

"Geograph attacks with a total of 27,000 power," I raised my hand and gave a weak smile.

I dont have enough to stop it even if I get a heal trigger..."N-no guard."

Cheers were booming as Chris was declared the winner now he's headed off to the finals against Li. I couldn't help but just clap I got to be ranked fourth at least, I'll do better on the next one.

•○°● Chris' POV ●°○•

Everyone cheered for me and I thanked them. I looked at my opponent and smiled at her. Y/N was the same age as me and the guys but we hardly spoke to each other, having the same classes from time to time. She's improved from the last time I saw her cardfight.

I approached her, "Y/N L/N was it?" I held out my hand. "That was a good game" I said and she shyly smiled, holding my hand with both her hands making me feel... weird.?

"Y-you did great, Chris!" She stuttered with a tint of redness on her cheeks.

She looks... cute. I thought but quickly shook it off my mind.

"A-ah, it's nothing, r-really!" I laughed nervously. Wait??? Why am I stuttering? I asked myself.

"I-I hope you win the next one!" She bowed and waved goodbye as she walked away.

"Y-yeah!" Before I could even speak she was gone. What is up with me?

●°○• 3rd POV •○°●

"Hey what's up with Chris? He seems out of it?" Li asked as he looked at his teammate as he prepared for his match against him.

Ali followed to where he was and smirked. "That my friend," he started. "Is what love at first sight looks like." He says patting Li's back.

"Love at first sight?" Li says as he pushed his glasses up. "This is Chris we're  talking about, he doesn't seem to be the kind of person to "fall in love"."

Ali sighs but nods. "Well I guess you might be right" he says shaking his head.

A few weeks have passed after Chris won the tournament, after those series of events he managed to invite Y/N to hang with them which she nervously agreed to. Now she's basically part of the group and the boys couldn't be more happier to have a brand new companion.
