My whole world crashed. How could this be! I am a human. Not a vampire. I want to remain human. I am a human being and nothing can change that. No. Please.

I squeezed my eyes shut some images flashing in my mind. Why? Why must I be a vampire!? No. I don't want to go.

I looked at him with tears in my eyes. Impossible. I shook my head and looked at him again. I looked at my mom.

"I am so sorry!" My mom cried as she broke into tears before me. It snapped me out of my trance and I hugged her as tight as I can. "It wasn't your fault mom." I said gently lifting her up. "You'd still call me your mother? Even after I lied to you?" She asked me looking at me. "Of course. You are still my mom. Nothing will change that. I love you mom." I hugged her again but this time embracing everything even the fact that I'm a vampire.

"I'll try to visit you often and I'll call you. Okay?" I said trying to calm her down. "Okay." She said. I hugged her one last time and kissed her on the cheek. I smiled at her and walked to my brother.

"What is your name?" I asked him. "Matt, Matt Stephens." He said smiling. "Now let's go, my little sister." He said holding out his hand to me.

I turned one last time to my mother. "Thank you." After I said that I held Matt's hand as we jumped into the night.
