Chapter 13: Training in the Jedi City

As always, Daniel was thinking as an Archaeologist. He asked the others, "Earth is where it started for the Jedi Knights. What kind of impact will be put on Earth now we are here?"

A heavy silence hung in the air. Everyone yearned to speak, but the weight of their history held their tongues. They'd poured their hearts into defending Earth from the Death Star, and the thought of altering their hard-won victory felt like a betrayal of countless sacrifices.

Brandon broke the ice of silence that seemed to last forever. He said, "Bodo Baas told us he would talk with us more. Since we now know where we are, I think we should see what he has to say on why we are here, and what we can do to keep from changing history."

"WOW! It would be very interesting to hear him say something about the first Jedi city on Earth," Ben replied.

"While you do that, I'll be at the library. Please let me know what he says to all of you." "If I need to know. What Janet told me already, I wouldn't be surprised one damn bit what this Bodo Baas has to say about us being here. In the back of my mind, I am not surprised at all being on Earth. What I know of Samantha Carter O'Neill, it wouldn't surprise me on what anyone says about these Jedi Knights from now on."

Daniel left, and the six Jedi meditated in the Force. After a short time, Bodo Baas spoke. "I knew that you all would realize that you were on Earth. Much of the reason the Goa'uld attacked Earth so much over the years had a great deal to do with the city of the Jedi that you are all in now." He waited to allow their excitement to settle before continuing. He focused on Jack O'Neill and said, "know it or not, you were a part of the Stargate program since your first time to Abydos. Yes, you have been strong with the Force ever since. When the SG1 team reached the place that had the Ancient knowledge, they meant it for you and you only."

The Ancients put that device there for you to start your abilities to use the Force like no other. From that point, these three can train you to become a Jedi to use those abilities. This knowledge you have received allowed the Asgards to be a part of Earth once more. As they told you that day, 'They have been watching Earth closely.' They were waiting for you to show up, so you can fulfill what they have set in motion."

Sam asked, "Why have we not seen any of the Jedi in this city?"

"We all left the city years ago in search of the means of expanding our abilities to learn more. Once we learned of what the Emperor had done in sacrificing himself to become the Dark-side of the Force, we came back to this city to decide what to do. After we protected the Light-side of the Force, we could plan a way to keep the Emperor from manifesting our world into chaos. We knew that we could not stop him directly, but we realized from what we had learned about Earth's future, we could defeat the Emperor with the help of the six of you." "when you learn your full potential, my daughter, you will come to realize, these apprentices would not do half of what they are doing now and what it will take to fulfill their training. You are the reason SG1 made it out alive. It was you who called your team and friends to you in a galaxy far, far away. It will take time and knowledge before you can shine."

Brandon asked, "It has to be more than just us six and our Force capabilities that will defeat the Emperor?"

"You are right. If it was that simple, then the entire Jedi of our time could have done the job we ask you six to do. I cannot tell you about that. Learn about that in its proper time. I am not saying this to be mysterious. If it was that simple, I would have told you all you needed to know in my first encounter. Time reveals all. When it is time for you to learn this, you will know what to do with what you have. This information might come to you all at once, or you may have to search for it. Remember, we have been keeping this a secret from the Dark-side, so they cannot know how to get to this city." "there is a great deal to know, but as I said, it will not make any sense until you learn a lot more. There is a reason, Samantha, you can't get the memories that are rightfully yours.
