i blankly stared at the board, i couldn't stop thinking of what haewon said yesterday.

"what am i to you?" i asked.

"i don't know, but i'm not who you think i am." she said and walked away.

what does she mean by that? my mind suddenly had a flashback to three weeks ago, at jiya's party. jiya invited jeonghan to her party and he asked me to come as well. haewon answered at a game of truth or dare the worst failed confession she has ever had. that gave me major deja vu's. i'm not sure if it was a dream or something, but it felt so familiar.

i really like haewon ever since both our moms met up. i joined them for lunch two weeks ago not because my friends were absent and the library was closed, but because that was my first step into my plan to be friends with her, and eventually, more than friends.

i don't know if i like her as a friend, or i like her more than a friend. my mind's mixed up and i don't understand my feelings towards her.

but it seems like she's being more and more distant everyday, like she's trying to avoid me. did i do anything wrong?

i didn't do anything wrong, at least i don't think i did.

"hong jisoo, were you listening?" mrs. seo said, snapping me out of my thoughts. "y-yes.." i stammered.

the bell rang for lunch time. i'm not going with haewon, i don't wanna face her after what she told me yesterday. i'm not ready...

i head over to the library to sit down in a silent place to think about my actions.

i wanna know more about this. is haewon hiding something from everyone? i asked seungcheol for some help because i couldn't find any ideas. seungcheol is the best at detective stuff. one look at a person, and he already has an idea of what to do.

it was dissmissal time, and we were both staying at a bench behind the school. he told me not to think about it, and instead think of some questions to ask haewon or her friends.

i tapped my foot in anticipation while seungcheol was beside me, brainstorming some ideas for me to do.

"ah! i got one!" the guy beside me said, breaking the silence.

"what is it, seungcheol?"

he whispered the plan in my ear, and let me tell you, it was a great plan.

the next day came, and it was the day of the plan. i looked at my watch; 4:12 P.M. she's supposed to get to this café by 4:00. where is she?

"jisoo?" a voice behind me said. i turned around, "sojung, you're finally here."

"why'd you call me here?" she said, crossing her arms and raising one of her eyebrows.

"please, take a se-"

"why. did. you. call. me. here?" sojung said, losing patience.

"i have to ask some questions. now, please take a seat? i bought some lattes for the both of us." i said, moving my body aside to show the two lattes i bought. she's always so cold towards me, but i never knew why.

everytime i'd see her and she'd see me back, she would always have this glare in her eyes.

she sighed, went closer, took a sip of the latte i bought for her, nodded in approval, then sat down across me. "what do you want?" she asked. darn, she looks pretty annoyed.

"so... i noticed that ha-" i said, but got cut off right away.

"get straight to the point." she said nonchalantly.

"do you know why is haewon so... distant to my friends and i?" i looked up to see a very shocked sojung before me. she looked shocked and offended at the same time.

"you don't know her past with guys like you." she said, looking down. guys like me? what? i don't understand.

"why does she act different to other guys? minseo, i know he's like seungcheol, and wonwoo, i know he's like jeonghan. but why does she act different to us?"

"all i can say is that she had a childhood trauma..." she said, and mumbled something in the end, but i couldn't hear it.

"what?" i asked, confused. she sighed as she looked up towards me.

"i'm afraid i can't answer your questions. i don't want to betray haewon. i'm one of the only people she trusts, and i can't just let myself lose her trust." she said before standing up.

"i'm sorry, jisoo, but you don't know what she's been through." sojung said. "if you really want to know, ask her yourself. but i doubt she's actually going to tell you." she gave me one more glance before walking away, leaving me dumbfounded.

i don't know what to do now, but i'm going to wait. i'll wait until my feelings for her gets returned. i'll wait for you, haewon.

ok so i just wanted to inform whoever's reading this that the next chapter and onwards will be a little more fast paced (ur goin too fast, baby. jkjk)
