chapter ten ↴ monkey ape motherfucker

Kenzie sat in her bedroom, sobbing her eyes out and clutching the dampened letter to her chest.

"seriously, Five?" she questioned rhetorically to herself, wiping tears from her reddened cheeks harshly with the back of her hand, ignoring when her nails scratched her cheeks. "how could you do this to me?"

will you be my girlfriend?

um, yes, Kenzie thought, rereading the letter for what seemed like the billionth time.

Luther had dropped her off home after time had unfrozen, and since then Kenzie had done nothing but get in her pyjama shorts and sports bra, then curls under her covers and start her fat cry.

honestly, it seemed a little stupid, but god. every cell in her body craved Five's touch, attention. everything. her body craved Five.

"when i get my hands on you . . ." Kenzie muttered angrily to herself, "i'm going to rip your fucking head off."

"well, I was really hoping you'd just say you're happy to see me."

leaning against the doorframe of Kenzie's bedroom, covered in dust, was Five fucking Hargreeves, asshole extraordinaire! and of course the boy she was totally falling in love with . . .

Kenzie shot up and tumbled out of bed, and launched herself into his arms. he caught her and hugged her back just as tightly, rubbing her back slightly.

"yes." she muttered in his ear. "yes, yes, yes. of course I want to be your girlfriend, what kind of question is that?"

Five smiled, relieved, and he grasped the back of her neck and their lips met in a knee shattering kiss.

god, Kenzie was fucking dying. Five's lips on hers, kissing with such passion and tenderness, it was enough to make pretty much anyone go weak in the knees.

she fell back against her bed and they simply held each other in their embraces, glowing in each other's attention.

"i'm sorry, Pixie." Five murmured, kissing the shell of her ear. "I never meant to make you cry, I just had to do a few things."

she sniffled and nodded. "I know, Five. but seriously, that bitch who froze time owes me a new phone cause my screen cracked when it fell on the fucking floor."

he kissed her neck and laughed slightly. "i'm sure we can find you a new one." "i swear find is just the code word for steal with you!" she giggled, rolling out of bed and throwing open the doors to her wardrobe.

"come on. as much as i'd love to keep you all to myself, you need to let your siblings know your alive. i also have to apologise to Luther for calling him a monkey ape motherfucker."

um, yeah, this was really short but I felt bad cause I haven't updated in like a week and I felt in the mood for some Kenzie/Five fluff.

do we have ship names? can someone comment some ship names for me please, I swear I'm hopeless.

anyway, next chapter will have an actual point to it and follow the story line. until then,
