"I should probably go find Diego in whatever mental hospital he's in, but I can't be bothered."

Kenzie seemed to choke for a second, head shooting up. "Mental hospital?! What the fuck?" The familiar, amused glimmer entered her eyes, relieving Five's heart a little.

"Yeah," he snickered as she tucked her head back into his neck. "Something about an old lady? Have you seen anyone else since... you know?"

Since I stranded you in the sixties, was better left unsaid.

"No," Kenzie answered honestly. "Ugh, I miss Klaus so much. I hope he's okay."

"I think you'd be the only one." Five muttered, stroking her silky hair. "Hey!" Kenzie protested, cuffing his head lightly. "That is your brother, be nice! And yes, you will be going to get Diego from the mental hospital!"

Five sighed sufferingly. "So much to do, so little time to just lounge around with my girlfriend." He muttered irritatedly. "Fine! I'll go get him now."

Kenzie gave him a megawatt smile and kissed his check. "Good! Ugh, I wish I could come with you but I have to babysit in like an hour and I promised Debby and Miranda I'd take them to the park. Fuck's sake!"

"Debby? Miranda?" Five repeated confusedly. "The little girls I babysit. Debby's Bob's daughter, the one who lets me live here? Miranda lives down the street with her mom Susan, who pays me to look after her kid for a few hours."

He nodded in understanding, pressing a kiss to her forehead. "I'll come get you when I'm done, alright?"

Kenzie was not keen to part with Five so quickly after finally getting him back, but they both had responsibilities.

He had to get his brother out of a mental institution. She had to babysit kids and argue with racist teens. Obligations really got you sometimes...

"Alright," Kenzie agreed. "But also, when we're in public you have to call me Josephine because that's my fake name."

"I heard," Five smirked as Kenzie untangled herself from him. "Josephine Smith. Very old-timey, sort of cliche."

She huffed playfully, crossing her arms. "Well I'll have you know Five Hargreeves, it's worked out well for me so far! And you don't even have a name, so don't start talking shit about my fake one."

Five laughed, leaning in to kiss her lips. "I'll see you later." He whispered in her ear, wrapping his arms around her. "And I promise you, Pixie," his voice became serious. "I'm coming back."

Kenzie breathed in his scent. Coffee, unsurprisingly, with a hint of... her old perfume? Right, it had been like two seconds for him.

"You better." Kenzie threatened, pressing one final kiss to his cheek. "Now go and get your brother, please."

Five grinned at her before disappearing in a blue flash. Kenzie swallowed, ignoring the butterflies in her stomach, and turned around to find something to wear.

Ugh, sixties fashion was not the worst, but she missed being able to show her body and getting away with it!

An hour later, Kenzie found herself sitting on a park bench as the two little girls played with a jump rope not to far away with some others.

Across the park, she spied Lizzie Holt (bleh, racist bitch) and her ugly ass boyfriend Robert Williams (bye, kill her now).

Lizzie was an admittedly pretty blonde girl, who fit the stereotype of a white woman in the 60s perfectly. Kenzie had had more then enough run ins with that racist little shit, where Lizzie had loudly and rudely proclaimed her hate for 'n-word's'.
