"guys! this is it. the apocalypse is still on, the world ends today!"

Kenzie stumbled over the rubble which was once the opulently beautiful umbrella academy. now, however, it was simply piles of rocks on the floor.

her and Five had been . . . occupied for the last few hours until her suddenly got up and spacial jumped them away. Kenzie was just glad she had a decent outfit on.

"I thought you said it was over." Luther replies frustratedly. "I was wrong, okay?" Five said. "this newspaper, I found it in the future the day I got stuck. the headline hasn't changed."

tension was thick in the air as Diego shook his head in denial. "no, that doesn't mean anything. time could've been altered since that newspaper came out this morning."

Kenzie wasn't sure what to think at this point. time travel and spacial jumps and yada yada ya were all confusing for her.

"you're not listening to me! when I found it I assumed this place came along with everything else. but here we are! the moon's still shining, the earth is in one piece, but not the academy!" Five raved exasperatedly.

Klaus snatched the newspaper from Five, saying, "I'm confused.", as he turned around.

"then listen to me you idiot! Vanya destroys the academy before the apocalypse. I though Harold Jenkins was the cause, but he was the fuse."

then it clicked in Kenzie's mind. "wait— are you saying Vanya is the bomb?"

"yes! Vanya causes the apocalypse!" Five admitted.

the whirring of blades caught their attention as helicopters started to gather above the demolished building.

"we gotta go, now." Diego exclaimed, jumping up. "regroup at the super star, go!"

Kenzie linked her hand with Five's and they spacial jumped away as the rest of the Hargreaves siblings scattered.

at the super star, they sat in a circle by a bowling alley, Kenzie next to Klaus.

"look I hate to be the one to say this," Luther began, making Kenzie muttered, "no you don't.", "but everyone needs to be prepared."

Diego rolled his eyes. "for what?!"

"to do whatever it takes to stop Vanya." Luther answered with finality. Allison hit him with the notepad that she was using to communicate with everyone because her vocal cords had been slashed.

Kenzie coughed to stop herself from laughing. "we may not have a choice, Allison!"

"bullshit." Diego argued. Kenzie nodded in agreement. "he's right. look, from what I'm hearing it seriously sounds like you're planning to kill her." "there's always options." Diego added.

Five scoffed. "yeah, like what?" "I don't know."

"look, whatever we decide, we need to find Vanya. and fast, okay? she could be anywhere." Luther announced, standing up.

Klaus opened the newspaper and a picture of Vanya immediately caught her eye. "or here." She murmured, pointing to the picture.

"look at this." Klaus said as he positioned the paper so everyone could see. "that's right." Diego muttered. "her concert is tonight."

"hello," they all turned around to see a woman in a uniform. "I hate to intrude, but my manager says if you're not gonna bowl, you gotta leave."

the man at the counter slammed a pair of bowling shoes on the till.

Kenzie scoffed, rubbing her temples as they started to throb. "no one can ever make me wear those ugly ass shoes— especially with this outfit."

"who's turn is it?" Diego questioned mockingly.

"oh for—" with the manager watching, Luther grabbed a bowling ball and chucked it over his shoulder without looking.

Allison waved the notepad in front of Luther's face, the pad displaying she's our sister in black market.

"we're the only ones capable of stopping this." Luther defended. "we have a responsibility to dad."

"to dad?" Diego boomed, turning around. "no, I've heard enough about—" "he sacrificed everything to bring us back together!"

Kenzie rolled her eyes. "this family is so fucked."

Klaus grinned. "welcome little sister."

"no I'm with Luther on this one." Five agreed. "we can't give her a chance to fight back. there are billions of lives at stake. we're past just trying to save one."

Kenzie groaned, the throbbing in her head becoming more apparent. "why the fuck am I getting a headache now?!" she complained, standing up. she threw a quick, "I'll be back.", to the Hargreaves' before leaving to the bathroom.

Kenzie splashed some water on her face and leaned on the sink. "okay, I'm still a bad bitch but I do care that the world is ending again."

when Kenzie came out and splayed down next to Five, they seemed to have just finished arguing about something— not that that was uncommon for them.

"excuse me, it's my son Kenny's birthday today, and uh . . . . wouldn't your son and daughter be happier playing with kids his own age?" a woman butted in with her arm around a young boy.

Kenzie stood up and glared harshly at the woman. "I would rather be on my goddamn period for the rest of my life then play with your son! so fuck off!"

the woman stepped back offendedly. "let's go, Kenny."

Five got up and went over another bowling ball station, leaving Kenzie alone with everyone else. "if I was going to date a man, you'd be the last man I'd date." Diego said to Klaus. "please knife boy. you'd be lucky to get my brother." "see?" Kenzie and Klaus nodded in agreement. "hey, any of you fuckers got some pain killers?"

when Kenzie looked up to see Five, he was gone. she sighed. "we need a tracker on that boy."
