for a moment, Kenzie felt like she was floating.

she didn't know where they were going, and what the time period would be in but she knew one thing: in the absence of her blood family she'd made a new one.

Klaus, the man who'd lost so much but still managed to put a smile on her face, became her brother, and she knew he'd always have her back.

Diego, despite his annoying personality and rash decisions, wiggled his way into her heart, and became a friend, who she knew would always be there for her to argue and banter with.

Vanya, her music teacher turned confidant and friend, who Kenzie knew for a fact she'd always watch out for, because Vanya would do the same for her.

and of course,

Five, her boyfriend and best friend who she was deeply falling for, was with her. and if Five was with her, she knew she would be fine.

Fate brought Mackenzie May to Griddy's Doughnuts on a cold morning, after the clock struck twelve.

It brought her to Five Hargreeves, and by the gods, Kenzie was so glad it did.

Mackenzie was definitely one of my favourite characters to write. I poured myself into her freely because I knew I couldn't be judged for it (imagine if you knew kenzie in real life 😳😂) and you guys loved her.
