Chapter 7 ♡

My body pushed me all the way to S.T.A.R Labs, somewhere I never thought I would actually go to. With a gust of wind I saw Cisco sitting in his seat, he turned with a twisler hanging out his mouth once again. "You seriously need to stop doing that Ba-"
His face paused as his eyes just stared, "Emma what the hell. Did The Flash really just drop you off again?"

"Um no. I, ran. But that's not the point okay." I said quickly beginning to pace in the Lab. I felt frantic, "I-I had a dream, it came true, I can see stuff in slow motion, I CAN HEAL FROM A GUN! What am I?" I stoped my pacing staring into his eyes, searching for answers, searching for anything.

"Okay. Emma, we need to have a talk." His voice went to a serious tone, one that I never thought he could have. I sat on the bed they still for some reason had in the Lab, Cisco then showed me a hologram. It showed red lightning bouncing around its feet.
"This." He pointed, "is a speedster. That's what you are somehow, the healing ability makes sense with this. Your cells are in a rapid regeneration. Constantly moving." He bit into another candy.

"What doesn't make sense to me, is how you got these powers, but dreams that come true can happen to non-meta humans." The information absorbed as I couldn't focus on one thing at once. "Meta, as in not human? I'm not human?" I wanted to yell, I should have stayed in Greens and dealt with my healing.

"It's okay, Flash is just like you. He heals to, and runs." Clearly, I wanted to mutter and complain but ugh, Liz wouldn't. Why do I try to be like her so much? I hate that I think about her daily, I mean I'm 21 for fucks sake she died when I was 8.

A flash of red followed with a whoosh of wind, there was a guy in the lab. He was wearing the red suit, I could only see the back of his hair. "Mask." Cisco said with bared teeth. "Why?" He tilted his head a bit. "We have guests." The guy shoved his fluffy hair back into the suits face mask as he turned to see me. "Oh. Hi." He said with his voice vibrating.

"I already heard your voice, you can stop that now." I whispered wondering if I could do it to. I sat on the bed as I laid out my arms, "come on test me." I said loudly. I looked up to see none of them had moved a inch, "Are we going to try to fix me or not." The Flash scrunched up his eyebrows at Cisco.

"Um about that." Cisco began as he twirled his hands. "We can't exactly test you, if we do it seems your healing is way faster than Ba-the um.. the Flashs' so... if we tested your blood there's a high probability the needle will grow into your skin." His voice got higher toward the end. "Just do it, then yank the needle out."
"Hah, she's tougher than you." She hit the flash on the arm.

--

It took a total of 25 minutes for my blood to be taken, we had to stick my vein 12 times before we actually could get to the blood. Of course I healed, but the pain was very real.
Caitlin stood at the monitor with her mouth in a crazy smile, "I've never seen anything like it!" She exclaimed. "It's healing 30x faster than the Flash, but there's also something else." She smile slowly dropped as she noticed it.

"Your blood has a crazy ratio of red and white cell account. So, your healing has nothing to do with your speed. It's completely different, you have 2 powers." I scrunched up my eyebrows, "So, um, how are you going to fix me?" Worry rushed through my body. She seemed as she didn't know what to do or say. "We've never cured anyone of being a meta, it's not so bad, being different." She admitted.

"So your not going to cure me?" I practically shot up in my bed. "Well, just. Think about it, okay. I mean do you really want this piece of you to be gone?" I stood grabbing my workout outfit. "Yes, gone, buried, burned, killed, I don't care. I don't want to be a weirdo." I muttered as I walked out.

--

I knew I was harsh, to Caitlin and myself. I didn't want her to think I was mean, it's just this is all new to me. An new things scare me. I just don't want caught in something I can't handle, you know? I rolled over to the other side of my hotel bed, the morning light made rectangles on the floor, how do I apologize? I want cured but, I don't want her to think she has to help me emotionally. All she has to do is cure me, and I can fix the rest.
'Do you really want this piece of you to be gone?' Her words stayed with me. Is it really part of me? Will I feel different when I'm cured? Will I miss it somehow?

I couldn't think of that now, I needed to go back to S.T.A.R Labs today, I need to talk to Caitlin and let them do more tests on me like they asked. They wanted to see my speed, healing, and see if there really is something there with my dreams. Ugh, healing. To test that there's going to be pain, great.

--

I ran in the Lab as nobody was there. Weird? There's always someone here, either Cisco eating candy, Flash running around, or Caitlin running tests on whatnots.
Suddenly there was a yelp of pain coming from the next room over.
"Guys?" My voice slowly echoed.

Caitlin's voice cut I'm through the quietness, "Lay still if I don't get these out your hearts going to fail."
"Oh thanks, I feel much better." Another yelp of pain escaped the room.

I jogged in the room afraid of what was happening, when I seen the guy in the Flash suit laid over a metal cold looking table my heart stoped. Caitlin hovered above him with a sort of scissor thing pulling out sharp shards. Meanwhile Cisco was just staring with his eyes wide open in the corner of the room.

I zoomed up to the table as Caitlin gave me a glance, "Hold him down, if I don't get these out, the metal shards will grow into his skin, then his heart will give out from the speed." I pushed down on his shoulders while she pulled another shard out. He yelled forcing me to push him back down. I felt kind of bad for pushing him down even though I was helping. I felt as if I was making him feel pain. The eyes behind the mask looked in hurt, like he couldn't bare much more pain, I felt terrible for him. I wish somehow I could help more.

Suddenly a crazy weird sci-fish glow emitted from my palms. The metal shard literally disappeared except the ones on Caitlin's plate, they was covered with blood.
He rolled over on the cold metal table coughing a small bit, Cisco ran to him, "Are you okay what happened?" His voice was hurried. I took a dizzy spell as I remembered what Cisco told me, how I had to eat more because I had a crazy fast metabolism.

But this was different, I got really dizzy, like really. The room began to spin and the walls got all wavy.
But it got worse and worse. Until everything got taken into the blackness.
