Chapter 8 ♡

A cough escaped my lips, pain filled my head slightly as I sat up. The blurriness soon became clear, "How many times am I going to wake up in this bed?" I asked, Cisco of course eating a red candy at his table. "So not only can you heal, you can heal others. With your hands!" He pushed his rollie chair up to my bed. "Girl that's crazy." He spun to grab another chart.

"3 powers, you got 3. Flash has 1 because his healing is mixed in with his speed. But you have 3! I've never met a meta like you." He showed me some charts, they were in confusing advanced diagrams on how all of my powers work.
"Yea, okay. I'm going to go." I began to sit up when he stoped me with a question, "Where? We need more tests."

"I'm going back to Greens." I began to stand again once again.

"What do you mean? You're leaving, just like that?" He began.
"I can't just live in a hotel you know."
"You can stay at the Lab." He gestured toward the roomy white walled place.
"Living in a lab, I'm not a lab rat you know?" I shook my head in disagreement.

"Maybe, you could stay with someone I know for a while, just till you find a place." He clearly had someone in mind.

"You seriously want me to move city's just like that? I don't even have a job."
"The person I know also works at CC Jitters, she can hook you up with a job in no time." He adjusted all of the power charts on his desk.

"Are you talking about Iris?" My voice echoed when Ciscos' face lit as if he had a crazy plan in mind. "Maybe." He rolled back behind his desk on his chair once more. "I'll give her a call, just see what happens, might work out." He shrugged starting to tap on his computer table thingy.

Suddenly a large red triangle with a red explanation mark in the middle of the screen went off, sirens rung out. "What's that?" My curiosity peeking. "Someone's in trouble." He whispered tapping hurriedly back on his technological table.

"Maybe, I can help?" He quickly shook his head. "You can't, you can barley control what you have." "What's ganna happen? Imma die?" I sent him a Mum look. He let put a loud groan handing me something.

"Wear a tracking device, so I at least know how fast your going and can monitor what's happening." "Okay." He placed a weird com in my ear. "This is also a two way ear piece, you click it once and I can speak to you and twice you can reply."
"Got it."

"One more thing." He scrimmaged through the room handing me a sort of mask. It covered the space at my eyes, only the top of my forehead and lips were showing.
"Wear this." He said placing it onto my face. It made my face feel funny, I could feel my eyelashes bat against the fabric every time I blinked.
"Okay, 3rd and 8th street, top building of the Mall" with that I already ran out.

The world was freezing around me, the wind blowing through my hair as everyone's lives were frozen, I clicked the ear piece allowing Cisco to be able to speak to me. I had to stop running so his voice wasn't slowed down all the way. "Emma." "What, did I miss it?" "Yea you overshot about 6 blocks."
I groaned quietly running to the correct street. I spotted the building pretty easily, I mean it had the letters written on it in bold.

I ran through the building up its stairs, worry actually began to set in at that moment, just what am I doing? When I got up there I saw The Flash injured and laying on the buildings roof. There was a small pool of blood beside him, he was not healing. A weird guy with this creepy mask on, stood beside him, "And just what are you for Halloween?" I asked, saracasim lacing my voice.

He had some sort of dagger for a hand as he attempted to hit me, I dogged with blue lighting rushing in my veins. "Be careful, it has dark matter, you will heal normally." The Flash grunted through the pain.
"You seriously need to stop getting hurt." I muttered.

Just as I turned to the man a small piece of the dagger barley sliced my arm. It healed instantly. "Well, okay." I whispered, the mans' eyes were clearly large in shock through the mask. "I'm not a normal person, don't judge." I said, I hit him, which actually hurt me, a lot. A little too hard actually, he fell onto the buildings edge only alive by his dagger hand.

Was I suppose to have a lion king moment or help? What do hero's do? I gave the Flash a questioning look as it was no help, he was out cold. "What kind of hero are you?" The unconscious body didn't reply.

I pulled out my arm to grab the guys but he didn't have the strength to bring up his other arm. My only option was to pull up the blade. I was already cringing at the thought as I pulled him onto the roof, the pain spliced into my wrists, they healed quicker than I thought possible. But the scorching sensation still stayed with me.

The Flash let out a small cough showing he was back awake, he tossed me weird cuffs that had a small blue box on the top. "They'll dampen the dark matter." He whispered, I slapped them on his wrist, well wrist and dagger for a hand.

Soon as I got them on him I jogged to The Flash, the pool of blood had gotten larger. My heart pounded in my chest like a drum. I put my hands on his shoulders and squinted my eyes.

I opened them to see a small faint glow disappear from my hands, he began to cough, he was completely healed. That exact moment I took another dizzy spell when Cisco chipped in, "Emma are you okay? Your levels are off the charts." It's that moment I realized that every time I heal, I get dizzy, a small liquid feeling on my face began, I touched my nose. In the dim light, Blood?

It glistening over my hand in the dim light of the night. It's getting worse and worse every time I heal... "Yea just, hungry." I wanted to tell the truth but if I did, they wouldn't let me heal anyone anymore. And if I didn't, The Flash could have died.

Me and The Flash took the Meta-sort of back to S.T.A.R Labs, turns out they had a jail for them. He was a meta because the weapon that had dark energy in it, was literally his hand, well sword, I don't know. But it's attached to his body which makes him one.

Authors note:
So, yes this chapter might have been shakey. But I've been soooo stressed out with my school work and everything I haven't really had time to think hard on this chaper.

The chapters to come will have much more action, trust me on that. You're still in the begging of the book though.

Even if you're a silent reader, a comment and vote would be amazing to show me you guys still want the book to continue.
