Chapter 12 ♡

Me, Liz, and Mika all sat around at Lizs' house. Mika was a guy that Liz metioned on he roof, he was sorta the guy behind the tech. He explained to me what was happening.
Turns out the color of my speed is how fast I go.

Pink-Low speed.
Blue-Normal speed.
Green-Highest speed possible.

By the sounds of it, it took Liz 2 years to hit blue, and I hit it on my first day. Green was the most advanced, and you should never go that speed if you can help it. It causes time travel, and bouncing between universes. But, I knew that already.

"So, I hit green..." I asked with a wondering voice. "Theoretically, Yes, I think so. From what it seems you are far along in this as you said you've only been doing this for about a month."

He also explained why my speed was giving out here, how this world moves at a different frequency, my speed is having side effects, but it should be normal by time I go back to my home.

He then said that me and Liz was the only pair of people he knew with these speeds, and that other 'speeders', they call the speedsters here, have all sorts of colors.
Some have purple, some have red, like the Flash. But me and Liz was the only ones with changing colors.

The me, or Emma here didn't have anything about her different than a normal girl, expect her dog Frankie, he apparently always had a weird tongue that hung out of his teeth. As you can tell Mika cleared up a lot for me, he explained a lot about the lives of them and everything.

But one thing that I will never forget, is if I stayed too long here, I could loose my speed forever. Now I wouldn't mind loosing my weirdness, but if I did, I would never get home. I told them how my Liz died and we all sat around for a while.

When Mika left with all of his knowledge, Liz sat me down. "Emma, you're not my sister, but I can still tell you're like her. You try to save everyone from everything, and sometimes you'll win, and loose." I sat listening closely as I would never hear her voice again.

"But, I know you, and I know you will do the right thing when it comes to it, you will do what you think is right. And I'm proud of you, I know your Liz would be too." Her words surprised me, I would never forget them. I hugged her as my eyes began to burn, "Thanks, that means a lot." She just hugged back, we was in a comfy silence.

I left that night instead of staying longer, I wanted to but, she was afraid I wouldn't be able to get back home. If I got stuck here, I wouldn't have a place, the real Emma needed her more than I did.

We said our sad goodbyes as I ran back to the Lab, I was ready to go home.

Cisco and Caitlin directed me on how to achieve the speed and what to think so I could successfully get home. They said to think of my Earth and only Earth, nothing else, nobody else. I felt at ease, like I could actually do it. When it all happened first time Liz clouded my mind as I felt at peace with her now.

I got in my running position when 'Ba' did the same. He was going to help me double my speed due to its lack here.

I took off. Energy rushed past my body, I got faster and faster, the slow motion was pink as I eventually built it up to a blue. I gave the guy a few glances as we ran, I wonder who he really is.

I ran at my old normal speed for awhile before my feet sparked green and back to blue. It was way harder than last time, but like Mika said, the longer I stayed, the harder it would be for me to get back home.

My feet flashed green as the guy stoped running, I looked back as he disapeared in a fade. I was now in a place with my memories, I ran quicker not paying attention, I was now somewhere different. Very different, but my different
