You were finally 16. It took long enough. You were beyond excited. You had now reached the age right in between adulthood and childhood. You were seen as mature enough to have your own thoughts and actions, and yet could still whine to your mom hard enough to get her to make you a sandwich, whereas at 17, you'd have to make it yourself.

Your plans weren't very big. You really just wanted a small gathering of a group of people near and dear to your heart who'd cherish and celebrate the occasion with you. What better way to do that than a pool party?

You already had your bathing suit and coverup picked out, and had finished decorating your backyard and laying out all the food. The cake was hidden safely away in the fridge. All that was left to do was wait.

Most or all of your guests had arrived at this point. The music was pumping, people were singing, swimming, and just chilling. It was a great day, and everyone was having a great time.

You stood by the food table, munching on some y/f/f, looking over everyone. Your body was naturally swaying lightly to the music as you talked to f/n about any random things that happened to pop up.

You had yet to see c/n, and kept glancing towards the entrance every five seconds, wondering when he'd walk in.

"You seem quite eager for a certain c/h/c haired boy to walk through those gates." Said f/n, smirking teasingly.

"Oh.. shut up!" You laughed.

"Seriously though, he'll be here y/n. He loves you, he wouldn't miss this for the world."

"Yeah, right." You snorted.

"Lets go in the water." Said f/n, dragging you along by your elbow.

"But my fooo- aah!" You squealed harshly.

F/n had pushed you into the pool, you hadn't even realized you were being pushed until you had hit the water.

"F/N!" You screeched, laughing as you rose up from under water.

You pulled F/n into the pool by her ankles and splashed her with water as she came up for air. Both of you burst into an all out splash war.

Once you had finally had enough of F/n's brutal cheating, you gave up.

"Alright, alright! You win!" you said, in a fit of giggles.

F/n eased up on the splashing and you eventually stopped giggling like a baboon. The water had pushed your hair behind you into a slicked back look as if you were a mermaid in H2O. The swimsuit you wore brought out the color of your e/c eyes and made your whole face appear brighter.

Unbeknownst to you, c/n had arrived. He was leaning on the wall on the side of the pool, facing your direction and sipping from a cup of punch. Very sexily might I add.

F/n cleared her throat and nodded over to his direction. You looked to see what she was nodding to and caught c/n's eye.

A small smirk played at the corners of c/n's lips and he raised one of his eyebrows at you in acknowledgment.
