Aleli tied up her hair before wearing her sunglasses. Tomorrow would be halloween and she hasn't bought any candies for the kids who go around the neighborhood for trick or treating. She decided it would be better for her to go to a grocery store to buy some first before meeting Agatha at Risorgimento. They talked about buying their dress or worse comes to worst, gowns, for the wedding that's coming soon. Aleli turned and saw Severus who was laying on the bed. She rolled her eyes and snapped her fingers and pointing towards the door. Severus didn't budge, in fact, he even rolled on his back just to take up a bigger space.
"Severus, what did we talk about you not lying on my bed without the mat I bought you," she groans as she carries her heavy pet and placed him on the ground.
"Meow."
"That isn't any excuse for you to lie on my bed, Mister," she scolded him which he didn't give a big deal to.
"I'll be back before dinner time," Aleli said to Severus who purred.
"Take care of the house, Sev," Aleli said and left the house. She rode her bike and headed to the nearest market to get the grocery she needs to get.
She was crouched against the rack that was in front of her picking the right candies she was craving, for the reason that when halloween ends and there's excess candies, she'd eat what's left.
"I know, that's why I need to pick the right tux. I don't wanna look like a complete dingus when I see her. I'm sure she'll absolutely look pretty," she heard someone say. The man was probably on the phone talking to his friend about an event. Aleli stood up to place the candies in the basket she had, just when she noticed it was Callahan. It wasn't in her schedule to stop and listen to someone's business but she got curious to know who he was talking about.
"You're my big sister! You should know about these kind of stuff," he groans. "Fine, I'll try my best to look for something that makes me look better than usual," he paused. "Yeah the book's doing fine," he said in a whisper, "she has no idea that it's about her."
Aleli's phone rang and saw it was Agatha calling. "Shit," she muttered as she carried her basket and ran towards the cashier to check the groceries out. She didn't look back at Callahan, she was sure that he already knew he saw her.
She rode her bike to the cafe and saw that Agatha was already there. She was wearing her usual attire. Aleli opened the door and sat on the chair in front of the table where Agatha was humming a tune.
"You good?" She asks Agatha who jolts.
"I didn't know you were there already!" Agatha laughs as she lets out a breath.
"You saw me sit down," Aleli chuckles.
"No I didn't. I was too engrossed to what I was thinking," she said and took her sling bag that was hanging on the chair. "Let's go," she said and stood up. Her floral dress flowing softly against the wind as they went out of the restaurant.
"We'll be walking, is that fine with you?" Aleli asks Agatha who took a deep breath and nodded with a smile.
"Of course," she said softly.
They started walking towards the city's center, it's where the malls and shops are. Agatha walked with her hands in front of her holding her bag just to make sure it won't fall off of her shoulders as Aleli shrugged off the gut feeling of something bad happening later today.
"So what color will you be wearing?" Agatha asked.
"Planning on wearing black, it suits me best."
"Black? Aleli, it's a wedding," Agatha said making Aleli roll her eyes.
"I know that. But I'm not the main person to be looked at, I won't need anyone's attention. I'll be by the side, singing my songs and taking some requests. No one will notice me," she smiles.
