one shot// "without a doubt" -- Brad

It's been months since the boys and I have seen each other. Brad and I try to FaceTime each other as often as we can, but when one of us happens to be free, the other is usually busy. I live in America, the boys are often centered in England, so being able to see each other in person isn't that easy. The only time I get to see them is either when they have time off and they come to visit, or if they're on tour in America.

This morning, Roman Kemp was having the boys on the Capital FM show to talk about their upcoming tour and the possibility of new music. I knew all this in advance, and I contacted him privately to see if he would be okay with me coming to surprise the boys on the show. He was more than happy to have me come, so as soon as I got the okay from him, I booked my flight and planned my trip to England.

When the day came, and I arrived in England, I went straight to the studio so that I would get there before the boys and Roman could hide me in the building somewhere where they wouldn't see me. The boys were scheduled to come any time now, and I stood with the slightest view of the door that they would be entering for the interview. My heart was racing, my anxiety was through the roof, I couldn't wait to see Brad after all this time of being apart. Soon enough, the boys entered with the rest of their management team and made their way into the studio to meet Roman. My heart skipped a beat when I saw Brad; seeing him in person after all this time felt so good, and I couldn't wait any longer.

The room I was in had a tv that I could watch the interview on, so I could see how it was going and I'd be able to tell when I should come in for the surprise. After a few minutes of greeting each other and catching up, the boys settled down and Roman started the interview.

He asked them about new music, what they've been doing, and about their feelings towards the upcoming tour. Afterward, he started to play a "game" with them, in which he asked them some questions that were personal, and then some that were just interesting that I also wanted to know the answers to.

"Connor, what's your love life like right now?"

"Ahhh you sneak, you want the juicy details! All I can say is that I'm currently taken," he smiled.

"Alright, alright. I won't pester you any further about it, you did give me an answer." Roman shrugged. "Tristan, you wanna tell the listeners when the next single is coming out?"

"Very tricky! It's coming out February 31st actually, I can tell you that!" Tristan said with a smirk.

"Ha ha ha, very funny. That was a good one, I had to think for a second. I seriously thought you were telling the truth, I was surprised." I laughed to myself at that one actually, it would be like Tristan to answer the question like that.

"Alright James, what's something that the fans don't know about you?" he asked.

"Oh, well, now that's a hard one because we have some very dedicated fans. You know, they actually know us all better than we know ourselves, it's quite impressive. So I feel like anything I say, there's going to be at least one fan who feels left out by my answer because they already knew that about me." he laughed. All the boys agreed and added on to what he was saying before James added, "I think we should have the fans resort to Twitter and tell us what the most random or interesting thing they know about us is. That would be cool to see."

"That actually would be interesting, I'd say you might be scared by some of the things they mention though," Roman said. James just shrugged his shoulders before he moved onto Brad.

"And last but not least, Brad. What's something that you're proud of, but you never get the excuse to talk about?" Roman asked.

"Wow. That's one question I've never heard before, and that's not sarcasm, I swear. I legitimately have never been asked that. I like it!" he said as he continued to think. Seconds later, he came up with a response. "Without a doubt, my girlfriend." My heart stopped temporarily when I heard that. "Now here's the thing, there's not just one thing I'm proud of when it comes to her, so we might be here for a while." he laughed.

"No, continue, I'd like to hear what you have to say! It's something that you don't get the excuse to talk about often, so here's your excuse." Roman smiled.

"Alright well first, this girl--I'm sorry, this woman--is arguably one of the best people to have ever come into my life. She's so beautiful, it makes me question life sometimes. That doesn't even make sense, but whatever. See, this is what happens when I think or talk about her, I get all flustered and excited. She makes me so happy though, and I'm honestly proud of myself for finding someone as amazing as her. I don't know why she has stuck around with me, and with these boys too, but I'm glad she has because I couldn't imagine a life without her. On top of all of that, I'm so proud of her, in literally everything she does. She is such a hardworking woman, she's so bright and determined and she inspires me to be a better person all the time. And also, this'll be the last thing, I'm sorry, but I'm proud of us, as a couple you know? We haven't seen each other, in person, in months and the distance challenges our relationship every single day, but I'd be a fool to not make long distance work with her. I'm proud that we've stuck together through it all, and I honestly can't wait to see her when we go to America on our next tour." Brad's smile was so wide, and he was so out of breath from the long-winded answer he just gave.

"Yeah, and if I may add, she really is as amazing as he says. Sure, he's her boyfriend, and a boyfriend should probably think that about his girlfriend, but she's become our best friend and we're so happy to have her in our lives. She's our biggest supporter in everything we do, other than our own parents obviously, and she's always there for us. We love having her in our lives, so Y/N, if you're watching this, we love and miss you!" James added.

I was tearing up, and I had to control myself because I was making my way towards the studio to surprise them and I didn't want to see them with mascara all over my face. I gently wiped under my eyes, checking my appearance in my phone camera, before I listened to what Roman was saying at that point.

"So, because you all answered the questions so well, for the most part, we have a little surprise for you," Roman said, looking towards me. The boys looked confused at what he was saying, but when they all turned around to see me entering through the door, they nearly fell out of their chairs. Brad's face was priceless, he was in utter shock. The three other boys ran out of their seats and came to each embrace me in their arms. "Y/N, what're you doing here?!" Connor exclaimed as his arms were wrapped around me.

"I wanted to see you guys, I missed you all too much." I smiled as James hugged me.

"You couldn't call us and meet up somewhere in public like a normal person?" Tristan asked as he pulled me in for a hug.

"Hah, that's a good one! Normal? Do you even know me? It's go big or go home!" I laughed.

Tristan pulled away and the boys moved to the side so I could go over to Brad, who was still dumbfounded with shock. He was still sat in his chair, his mouth slightly open. "Hi babe," I smiled. "I missed you most of all, come here," I said, holding my hand out. He grabbed a hold of it and I pulled him up and into my arms.

He held onto me tightly, and cradled me back and forth in his arms, leaving small kisses on my neck. I couldn't help but smile as he whispered to me, "I missed you so much. I love you."

"I love you, too," I replied back, reaching to lift his head up from my shoulder so I could finally kiss him after being apart for so long.

Wow so I'm literally the worst author, and I feel like I say this at the end of all of my updates, but I'm sorry for taking literally years to upload again. I have been through SOOOOO much shit and I decided to take some time today (even though I should be studying my test on Monday) to upload finally! I think my main issue was that I didn't have any ideas that I was super excited or intrigued to write about, so I just came up with this one today and decided to just write it. If you want me to update soon, feel free to leave requests in the comments below! I'm interested in writing about new stuff, and I have no good ideas of my own!
