No One's POV

With Mindy having the sudden realization of her big mistake, she runs out of her office and trudges up the flight of stairs to Lucy's door. She immediately began pounding on her door. Not really caring, if she was waking up neighbors.

Now with Natsu, he is in quite the predicament at the moment... Someone is pounding at the apartment door while Lucy has not woken up yet. He knows he should not open the door, but the lady outside of it seems to be in a hurry. She does sound familiar to Natsu though...

It is really odd for Lucy to be sleeping this long and, not to mention, she has been restless. It looks like she is struggling with something in her sleep. "Hey, Luce! I need you to wake up now," Natsu says while frantically shaking her, "Someone is at the door and wants to speak to you. Not me. So, please wake up!" Natsu is quite worried for Lucy, but he is clueless as to what he should do.

Natsu couldn't make a decision before the door was broken down by the force behind it. "LUCY! Are you here? Please don't tell me they came for her... I don't want to screw up her life like mine already is!" Mindy cried as she fell to her knees in the living room. (Mindy is being overly dramatic. She really doesn't know the full extent as to what she has done. She also doesn't know if she told the hotline anything...)

This perplexed the onyx-eyed boy. What is she talking about? Did she do something to hurt Luce!? She wouldn't do that though... Mindy is her friend! He thought to himself.

Natsu cautiously walked out into the room Mindy was in. The floorboard creaked as he entered the room, causing Mindy to turn her gaze to the noise. She saw Natsu, but was immediately frightened by him. She doesn't know who he is.

Mindy exclaimed, "Are you the one I called last night? Are you here to take Lucy back to her father? If so... please don't! I didn't mean to call in her whereabouts. I-I..." She could not finish before a sob got caught in her throat.

In Natsu's eyes, he sees a crazed woman that is babbling nonsense. Being the kind man he is, he knelt down to her level and calmly asked, "Why are you crying? Lucy is still here and I am not here to take her. She let me live here with her when I had no home. I would never do anything bad to the woman that has helped me learn to read and give me food to eat. What did you do that made you so frantic?" He then flashed a soft smile that instantly calmed Mindy.

She explained everything to him... from seeing the newspaper article to when she called them while in a drunken state. Mindy even told Natsu what Lucy's real last name was. It shocked him to find it out from Lucy's landlady and not from her own mouth. 

Wow... I have been living with a Heartfilia this whole time... He smiled at the thought. Natsu was grateful to know more about Lucy.

When Mindy was done talking, Natsu left her in the room to make a temporary "fix" to the beaten down door. Damn... this woman is strong! The door came right off the hinges! I have no clue how to fix this... I am just going to make the door look like it is fine. He mentally contemplated.

Natsu walked back to Mindy and filled her in about Lucy. About how she seems to be having a nightmare. This information got Mindy concerned. The thought on both of their minds' was, What is she dreaming about?

Lucy's Mind POV

Why am I here? Why am I in THIS place!? I need to get out of here.

Oh, no... I can't move! HE put chains on my wrists and legs so I can't escape. Why does my father have to be a clever man?

I started to look around the room to make a plan of escape. The only place is through the window on the opposite side of the room. If I am correct... I am on the second floor. That isn't going to be an easy place to run out from! I might hurt myself from the fall...

I hear the door to the room click and I flipped my head to it. I wanted to scream at the sight of him, but nothing came out... Am I stuck in a nightmare?  I thought. I pushed my body the farthest I can away from him...

It was no use... he walked over to me. His eyes! Oh my... they are so hard to describe. They seem to have blood lust in them just like the time he hit me with the bottle. There is something else though... something even worse. Is it longing? Hate? Loneliness?

I'm not sure...

He soon got close to me and rested his mouth near my ear... "Welcome home... my love. You are finally home. I've missed you." His low voice sent shivers down my spine. I began to cry... (Dang he crazy!)

When will I wake up from this h***?

Lucy's POV

I woke up a few minutes later with a sudden jolt of my body. It was hard to see who was shaking me through my tears. I took my hand and wiped my eyes so I could see them.

The person who was shaking me was Natsu... Thank you, I thought as happy tears came flowing out of my eyes.

"Are you okay Luce? You had me and Mindy worried about you. When we saw you crying, I tried to do everything to stop you from being sad..." Natsu said, sincerely. 

"Why were you unhappy?" he continued. The look on Natsu's face showed pure concern for me... It makes me feel so blessed to have someone as kind as him as a friend.

I then remembered he said Mindy's name. I looked on the other side of my bed to see a worried friend. I wasn't expecting the reaction she had. Mindy looked like she had some guilt. It was from the way she averted her eyes away from me.

"I'll tell you Natsu... about my dream, when you tell me what is going on here. I know something else is bothering you both." I say, which receives an intense staring contest between my two best friends. It was like they were conversing to each other using telekinesis.

"All right, I'll tell you," Mindy sighs. She never looked directly at my face. It was like she was expecting me to hate her after what she will tell me.

I was not fully prepared to hear what Mindy was about to say to me.

Another thing that I would like to mention is that this story is not supposed to be mature, so if my foreshadowing comes off as mature, I apologize. If you continue reading, it will be explained and it is not as "naughty" as it may seem right now. Lucy's father is not a pervert; he is just crazy.
