I am also very pleased to announce that my story hit 2,000 reads a couple of days ago. I am so stoked about that! I am glad to know that people are enjoying this.☺️💕

And, I am going to stick with having Author's Notes on the top and bottom of each chapter I create. No one seemed bothered by the fact of there being two, so I am not changing it. The only reason I asked about it in the first place was to be sure it didn't annoy you. Clearly, it doesn't.

Natsu's POV

After Lucy was done telling us about herself, I held her comfortingly while she wept tears of relief and happiness. It was like that for a while until Lucy started to go limp against me. I think she was tired from all the excitement and crying.

Mindy saw that she was sleepy, so she left us to get some rest. I offered for her to sleepover, but she declined saying, "I have things I need to do... I-I can't stay any longer than I already have." She seems still a little guilty about it. Not going to lie, this all seems possibly troublesome.

I thanked her again for the delicious meal she made as she departed from the kitchen. Yes, I had to pick up Lucy to see Mindy out. I can't just leave her on the floor! I told myself.

She was cradled in my arms like a wittle baby! She is so cute when she is asleep. Her peaceful, resting face, nudging into my arm, made me feel warm inside. Her arms, wrapped around my neck, so I would not drop her delicate figure. Her smooth, soft skin...

"Hey, Natsu. Why are you staring at Lucy like she is your next meal? You know, if you are still hungry I could make you more food." Mindy, saying this to me, brought my staring to a halt.

"Uh, no. I am not hungry! I think I am just tired... or something... Just got lost in space I guess?" I chuckled nervously.

Mindy lifted one of her eyebrows, looking like she saw right through what had happened. She smirked at me before she exited the apartment and waved a goodbye. I wanted to question her about it, but Mindy was gone in a split second.

What did just happen? I am so confused!

When Mindy left, I went to her bedroom and set her on the bed. As I am doing this, I noticed that her sleeping self didn't want me to leave. Her hand, clenched onto my arm. It didn't hurt, but she held firm. I can't say no to that!

I set up my bed, a chair, next to her bed. I laid my head down on top of the sheets and kept my eyes on her. She was tired, but I am not.

My thoughts take over once again... thinking through all the things Luce told us.

I cannot believe that Luce has gone through all that... When my dad left me, he didn't do it in a physically abusive manner. Like, who does that!?

I guess Lucy's father does that... I know my father hurt me when he left, but in a way, I'm glad we didn't leave on horrible terms. I hope my father is doing fine out there, somewhere.

Now that I know more about Lucy, I should probably be more open with her about myself. I need to know if she will accept my real self. The fact that I am the son of a dragon that can breathe fire. Only using this power for good, not to install fear into people, of course.

I need to know if she is different than everyone else that only sees me as a monster...

I smile to myself with the thought of someone else accepting me fully. The only other person that I know that loves me for me is my father... Igneel. Even though he left me, I forgive him for doing so. Those many years of travelling around made me understand why he did it. I hope to see you one day, Igneel.

A Different Unknown POV😱😱

The signal from the call Master received was traced to a town called Hargeon. From my current location, it is only a one day trip from here. To think, Master, applauding me for bringing his daughter to him! Ah, I cannot wait to see that.

Maybe he will finally acknowledge me for my raw power! Master thinks that I am a dainty doll that is only good for taking calls. Think again, sir.

I know he told me to send someone, particularly, "the strongest one he had", but why would I give this chance to some bozo? This job is for me and only me. Well, not ME, per say.

But for my alter ego, Imitatia.

Sorry for the short chapter! I had a busy week and I didn't want to rush my writing. This was the end result and I am proud of it. If I rushed this, I would not have been happy of it. Hopefully, next week's will be WAAAYYY longer.🤞😣
