We ran away. We splashed through rain puddles and danced in the rain. I never had this much fun in the rain before. He picked me up and swung me around in the rain. We got soaked. He took his tweed jacket with those stupid elbow patches and gave it to me. I laughed when I saw it. I took it and put it over both of us. He wouldn't let me cover him also so I didn't cover myself either. He took me to this blue box that read 'police public call box' on the top. It was so tiny.
"Uhh, what's this?" I asked slightly confused.
"It's my time machine." He said with a straight face and without hesitation.
"Your what!?!?" I busted out in laughter. "I have a doctorates in theoretical physics. so i should know if that is even physically possible. Yea right, time machine, please. Be a bit more realistic when you randomly pick up girls."
"I'm not kidding." He says. He grabbed my hand and as I struggle out of his grip. He opens the front door of his so called 'time machine.' Once those doors were opened and he dragged me in I stopped. I stood there in amazement. I ran out and ran around the small box and ran inside. I was about to speak when he stopped me.
"It's bigger on the inside I know." He says.
"How did you know I was gonna say that?" I asked.
He stops and looks at me. "Everyone asks the same thing."
"What is this!" I demanded now
"It's called the tardis. It stands for time and relative dimensions in space. So basically, it travels all around the world, and in time and space. Isn't that what you wanted to do?" He asked.
"I don't even know who you are. You never told me anything about you. I don't even know your name!" I said.
"Alright then, my name is the doctor, I'm a 900 year old time lord, im from the planet Gallifrey, I have two hearts, and I travel." He told me.
"A time lord? Two hearts? Are you an alien?" I ask.
"Yea, I am." He responds. "Now, tell me about you."
I stare at him for a few seconds and then respond, "My name is Riley, im 25 years old, im human, I live in New York in a small apartment above a bakery on Perry street, I have 1 heart, and im looking for adventure."
He smiles and asks, "well Riley, where do you wanna start?"
"Suprise me." I say with a smirk.
