When Raven woke up she was in a familiar yet weird place. She shot up straight away, taking in her surroundings. It seemed to her that she was in an infirmary. The Camp Jupiter infirmary to be exact. Except it was ten times bigger and there were godly being walking around.
What on earth were the Gods doing here?
Then the memories of the battle flooded back. It overcame her and she sunk back into the comfy duvet covers putting her hands over her face.
“Raven!” came a voice, hurrying to her side. She looked up into the warm golden eyes of her mother. Her curly hair was shorter and her clothes were wrinkled but she was still the same old Hazel Levesque.
“What are you doing here? What is going on?” Raven queried as she burrowed into her mother’s side.
Her mother looked down at her with a strange fire in her eyes. She stepped back, fiddling with her wedding ring.
“All of the original seven are her dear. We came for a meeting with the Gods.’
Perking up, Raven looked around. She saw Aunt Piper and Uncle Leo talking quietly in one corner. Uncle Percy was pacing back and forth. She also recognised a couple of the Gods. Apollo was healing a camper while Hecate was mixing up some concoction in a large cauldron.
“Why?” Raven asked.
Hazel sat down, pushing her daughter to sit up beside her. “Dalus, Poppy, Theo, Luke and yourself will be joining us at the council which will be adjourning in thirty six minutes. Until then no more questions.”
Luke. How could she have forgotten him until now? Once her mother had left she slipped out of bed and padded barefoot through the aisles. When she caught a glimpse of familiar blonde hair she rushed over.
Before she could say something Apollo looked over. So she dived under the bedcovers next to Luke. Once the god had looked away she stuck her head out.
“Raven” Luke sounded more than amused. “What are you doing in my bed?”
She blushed slightly. “Uh, I was, admiring your abs?”
Luke roared with laughter. “Oh gods I love you.”
Raven paused at his words. “What did you say?”
“I love you” he repeated, kissing her on the forehead. “Now get back to your bed before we’re caught.”
The black haired girl stood, saluted, and slipped back to her bed. When she got back Poppy, who was next to her was wide awake.
“What’s going on?” Poppy whispered. Her blonde hair had frizzed up around her head.
“We’re going to have a meeting with the Gods and our parents soon” Raven explained.
“The gods?”
“Yeah I know.”
The two girls lapsed into silence, wondering what would come next. A little while later Hestia approached them. Today her skin was a soft brown and her dark hair was in an intricate plait weaving around her head.
“Raven Zhang and Penelope Grace, you have been summoned before the Olympic Unity Council” she spoke softly but in a firm, authoritative tone. The two girls exchanged glances before following her.
Along the way Luke, Theo and Dalus joined up with them. Raven held Luke’s hand for comfort. Theo looked sad that Isla wasn’t there. Poppy and Dalus just smiled at each other.
There was a large ornate door in front of them. Hestia pushed it open and they ascended up white marble steps. At the top was a rather pleasant room with sky lights above and pictures of the Gods, demigods and hunters around the outside. At a very long table sat the 12 Olympians, the seven demigods and a couple of Hunter representatives.
Raven embraced her father before taking a seat beside him. The others did likewise.
“Right” Zeus stood at the head of the table, pinstripes and all. “We have decided.” There was a small cough from Annabeth. “We have been persuaded I mean to start up an Olympic Unity Council to promote unity for all Greek and Roman beings. This will mean when there is a war everyone will be involved and fight. No gods joining in at the last minute.” Annabeth nodded her approval and so did Athena.
Zeus looked directly at her. “Luke Jackson, Raven Zhang, Daedalus Jackson, Penelope Grace and Theodore Valdez please rise.” We did as he asked.
“Would you take on the position of being a part of the Olympic Unity Council?”
