Chapter 14

(Amy's pov)

We were sitting on the couch, she seemed to be happier. Last time she had fear in her eyes, now not so much. I start talking to her about her kingdom, she didn't really mind.

She told me how when they were young her sister was always an evil one. Since she was older she got to rule, but Sally didn't like what was happening.

"So you had no say?" I ask her, this shocked me slightly.

"Never, not even about what I will do with my life" she says, I see the pain in her eyes. Her life must of been terrible.

"You should of gotten a say in your life" I say to her, but she only shrugs. Not sure what to believe. "I'm sure everything will be fine" I gave her a smile, all she needs is hope.

We sit on the couch and continue talking, changing the topic from time to time. She's is a really nice person, sadly her family isn't.

(Sonics Pov)

We were doing some more practice after Ariana went away. It was a good hour later Shadow came back, he didn't seem in a good mood.

"Hey shad! What happened?" I ask him, but he storms right past me. He should get a medal for being the nicest hedgehog on the planet.

"None of your concern faker" he says, getting his sword ready. "Gonna practice outside" he says walking off.

I'm not the best friends which Shadow, but I knew something big happened. I ignore it for now and get back to practicing with Knuckles. Since he uses two swords its a bit trickier.

(Shadows Pov)

I walked out to have some fresh air. I notice Ariana coming up to me. I can't be left alone for a second, someone had to annoy me.

"You got yelled at big time" she says, twirling a dagger using her hand and finger. If I didn't know her I would say she is about to kill me.

"Stop looking like a murderer" I say to her, using my sword on the wooden knight. Good practice like any.

"I do not! How about you stop lying and say your the prince!" She shouts, I walk up to her and cover her mouth with my hand.

"Be quite will you!" I yell at her, she nods her head and I let go. Most annoying sister I could get.

"I had a feeling something was happening" I turn around to see Sonic. If he heard this, he is dead. "your the pri-" I cut him off by putting a sword to his throat.

"Shadow!" Ariana grabs the sword out my hand, and throws it away. " Calm down, he won't tell anyone" she says, as she keeps twirling the dagger. Sonics face instantly goes pale.

"You won't will you?" she walks up to him, looking like she is mad and about to stab him. He shakes his head, gesturing that he won't. "Good" she laughs and walks away.

"His face....priceless!" She say laughing, she heads back to the castle waving 'bye' to us.

"So....prince shadow?" he says mocking me, one day I will kill him.

"Shut up!" I say to him, picking up the sword again. This time I have a good grip on it.

"Don't worry, I won't tell anyone. Now I get it why you and Ariana behave like good friends. Brother and sister." he says, stating a obvious fact.

"You better not, it's enough I need to be king soon" I say to him, while I hit the wooden knight. Cutting his hand off, "this wood is weak"

"King? so that's what the thing was about?" he asks, is this ask 20 questions day or what?

"That's what it's always about" I tell him, hitting the wooden knight once more.

We start to train with each other, closing the topic of me being the prince. He better not tell anyone, or they can treat me differently. At least faker doesn't, maybe he is not so bad.

(Sonics Pov)

I was heading home, the thought of Shadow being a prince still in my mind. That was something that's surprised me big time.

I walk inside the house, I see Amy and Sally talking on the couch. They became friends fast, which is good. When they see me, the both rush into the kitchen.

They come back with chilli dogs and a chocolate cake. I have no idea why am I given this, but I will eat it. I take the chilli dogs and eat them up.

"This was Sally's idea, she wanted to thank you this way. She thanked me by cleaning the house up when I went shopping" Amy says, as she sits across from me. Taking a part of the cake.

"You didn't have to, but thanks" I say to her, giving her a smile. She returns it and sits beside me and Amy. Also taking a part of the cake.

Soon I join them eating the cake, we are having a really good time. Especially when some cake landed on Amy's lap, then she thrown a piece at my face. That's how our little food fight started, we kept throwing parts of cake at each other.
