ShadAmy: The Animal-Talker

Chapter 15

(Amy's Pov)

-next day-

First thing in the morning me and Sally went to the forest. I was going to take her to the biggest berry bush around, because that's what I always do once a week.

As we arrive at the spot, something feels weird. I feel like someone is watching us, watching our every move. I try to ignore it, so I don't get Sally worried.

As we are picking the berries, I see the owl again. She flies and rests on a tree nearby, her big eyes focused on me. Without hesitation I go up to the owl, I notice that Sally is still picking berries.

"Amy, I'm glad I found you. Your in danger! Danger is coming! Prepare! And fight!" With these words the owl flew away. I couldn't ask any questions or ask her to repeat it, as soon as she said it she was gone.

I go back to Sally, maybe the danger she was talking about is her sister. Queen Fiona. That would make sense, also prepare and fight. I have to prepare and fight Queen Fiona.

"Amy, are you okay?" My thoughts are interrupted by Sally's voice as she is in front of me, her eyes full of worry as she looks at me.

"I'm fine Sally, just thinking" I tell her, she puts on a little fake smile and shows me her basket.

"Is that enough?" I nod my head at her question and we head back. Doesn't seem like it, but it turns out we have been gone for three hours.

We clean the berries in the sink, it's better to wash the berries underwater. After we are done with that we put the berries away. I'm going to try to make a berry pie later on.

Me and Sally were about to go to the market when Sonic rushed in and grabbed both of our wrists and started running towards the castle.

"Sonic!?" Both me and Sally shouted at the same time, but he didn't answer. He kept on running dragging us along, making us run.

When we get there, the knights I already met are there and so is Rouge. Also the blacksmith was there, I only noticed him when he walked up to the rest.

"I have them" Sonic says walking up to everyone and letting our wrists go. Me and Sally just stand there, we have no idea what's going on.

Blaze walks up to me and hands me a letter, I take it from her and read it. It wasn't a letter really, just notes. Someone went to spy on Queen Fiona and wrote this information down.

I read through the information, it's just what the owl told me. Danger. Fight. Queen Fiona is planning onto killing me, so my job is to go there and fight her. To win. To help the people of her kingdom. To give Sally the throne.

I give this piece of paper to Sally, so she can read through it. While she is doing so I turn around and start walking out the castle.

"Where are you going?" I hear a deeper voice than Sonic say, it was Shadow. But he wasn't behind me, he was leaning beside the door.

"To fight Queen Fiona" I state and reach for the door handle but he stops me.

"The reason you were called here and not just given the paper was because we are helping you. We will be your army, maybe small but strong." he says, his eyes are looking at mine. I can't look away from his ruby red eyes.

I finally turn around and see everyone smiling at me, they all came here to help me. I only met some of them once and they are willing to help me and fight for my life.

"I will also help" I hear Sally say, everyone turns to her. I hear someone ask "are you sure?" But I'm not certain who said it.

"I know the kingdom well and the castle." She looks at me "you will need me" she finishes.

We all nod and smile at her, it's like we are all thinking together. I then notice Princess Ariana walk in. "I'm in" she says and everyone stares at her this time.

"Don't give me that look, plus I could really get away from this place" she says as she sits down on a chair nearby her.

Shadow walks away from me and up to her, he grabs her wrist and pulls her out the room. I walk back up to everyone else.

"Who else thinks they are kissing?" Rouge said. And once more everyone turned and looked at Rouge this time "Shadow is really close to the princess. Looks like they are dating" she says.

I notice Sonic holding in a laugh. He knows something. Before I manage to ask him what is it. Shadow comes back in a bad mood and Ariana in a good mood.

"Unless you want Rouge spreading rumours and giving you weird looks. Say the truth." Sonic says to Shadow.

We all circle around Shadow and Sonic, Ariana comes up and stands behind Sonic and Shadow. It seems like she wants to know as well.

"Trust me it won't change a thing, didn't change me. Did it now?" Sonic says again, Shadow has his arms crossed.

Shadow let's out a sigh, "Actually you shouldn't know either but she" he points to Ariana "has a loud voice and you are curious" he says. He doesn't want to tell us.

"I will tell then" Sonic says as he looks Shadow dead into the eye.

"No you won't" Shadow said, his voice rising. He's getting mad at Sonic.

"For gods sake this is annoying. I will say it because he won't kill me. Shadow is my older brother." Ariana says, as she takes a step back. Maybe to keep her distance from Shadow.

We all stare at Shadow in shock, of he's Ariana's older brother. That means he is the prince, and the envy heir to the throne.

The only thing we all managed to say was "Brother!?"
