ShadAmy: The Animal-Talker

Chapter 18

(Shadow's Pov)

After a while everyone started waking up. When everyone was up, I went to wake up Amy, she rolled on her side and went back to sleep. I didn't know what to do, everyone was outside the cave so I decided to just pick her up. When I did, I put her on her two feet and shook her. She opened her eyes, a little shocked and confused of what is going on.

"We need to get moving" I tell her, letting go of her shoulders and leaving the cave. I hear her following me out, when we reach the outside of the cave, everything is packed. We are ready to continue our journey.

We go towards the border of the two kingdoms, I sent Sonic to go run ahead and look for any enemies that could get in our way. We only wait a couple of seconds for him to return and tell us that he didn't see anyone, with this news we cross the border and head towards the castle.

(Normal Pov)

The small army from Mobius was marching for a couple of hours, still far from the castle, The castle was behind a massive forest and a village. They kept walking, after coming closer to the entrance of the village, they see guards patrolling the area. There was no way that they could sneak past them, they had to draw their attention away from the village and fight them before going on.

Shadow and his loyal knights were thinking of a way to get the attention of the guards, no matter what plan they came up with, someone else pointed out a couple ways of how it could go wrong so they had to think once again. 

Amy was sitting on a branch of a medium tree, looking at the guards from a distance. She noticed that one of them didn't have a liking in the woodlands creatures. Thinking about it for a short while, she decided to use her powers of talking to animals to distract the guards. 

She went to everyone else, but no one was paying attention to the pink female. Clenching her fists she walked off, she would make this plan work, even if it's by herself. She wondered around the forest for a short while, looking for any animal that would come close to a mobian. After not founding a single animal, or not being able to approach one, she started giving up.

But that's when a small bear cub walked up to her, his eyes were looking up at her with fear. Amy slowly bend down and petted the bear, he warmed up to her and jumped into her arms. She smiled and held the little bear, petting him.

"Are you lost little one?" she asked, slowly putting him down on the ground, while she stood up.

The bear nods, and Amy tells him to tell her how it happened. The little bear is amazed that this mobian girl understood him, with a small glow in his eyes he tell her what happened. How hunters from Acorn were attacking him and his mother, and when they were running away he got separated from her.

Amy picked up the cub and promised to help him find his mother, completely forgetting about the guards near the village and her mission with Queen Fiona. She ventured deeper into the forest, loosing her way back with every step ahead she took. The bear was calling out for his mother and Amy decided to help and started calling out for her as well.

A good hour has passed and they still didn't find his mother, when Amy and the cub decided to sit down and rest for a while. Amy felt a presence behind her, when she turned her head she saw a big bear behind her. Right before the bear could hit Amy with it's paw, the little bear jumped to Amy's rescue.

He explained everything to the bear, who turned out to be his mother. To thank Amy, the mother bear promised to help the pink female in anyway she can. As if remembering why she is here, Amy explains why she is in Acorn kingdom, and how she could use her help and of some other animals to defeat Queen Fiona.

Before the bear was able to answer, everyone who came to the journey with Amy ran up to her and pulled her away from the bear, holding up their swords to the bears fur. Ready to kill if it does any sudden movement. Amy get's out of Blaze's grip and stands in front of the bear, moving the swords out of the way.

They all stood there confused, yelling at her to move before the bear hurts her. But Amy didn't move a muscle, she held her head up high and yelled at them to put their swords away. Shadow was the first to drop his sword, when his knights saw him dropping his they all did the same seconds later.

"She won't harm us, she will help us" Amy said in a calm voice, petting the bear to calm her down. When the bear was calm, it layed down on the ground the cub beside her.

Some of them were not keen of the bear joining them and started a argument, Amy tried to calm them down and make them listen to her but they all ignored her. That's when Shadow took the matter into his own hands, he banged his fist of the tree, having the birds fly away. Everyone stopped and looked at him. 

When everyone's attention was on Shadow, even Amy's. He pointed his finger to her saying, " She want's to say something. So all of you shut the hell up, and listen to her"

With these words, everyone turned to Amy and she could explain how helpful the mother bear can be in this scenario and that she should stay with them.
