Life was normal, as normal as being a teenage girl was.
I had two best friends who were basically connected at the hip with me.
Carter was the closest to me. She had colorful hair and an attitude that no one could top. Winnie on the other hand... well let's just say she was the opposite. She was quiet and quite how you'd say...normal.
I was in between. Pretty average for a high school girl. Normal hair, boring life, but my attitude and clothing made up for the missing holes of popularity. I had a different style that usually consists of a colorful top, high ponytail, black jeans or leggings and the most extra shoes ever.
Me and my friends weren't the least popular but we definitely weren't on top of the world. But that's a rundown of us. Now here's to the actual story.

"Come on Kaida, school is starting!" Carter scolded, dragging me into the school
"It's your first day of sophomore year!" Winnie cheered.
"You guys are way to excited about this!" I groaned as they dragged me to my locker that I've known for the past year. I put in my combo, turning the noisy lock and opened my locker. I threw in my stuff and turned to the girls as I closed it.
"And besides. We are sophomores, what could possibly be different from freshman year?" I spoke as we walked to our shared homeroom.
I walked in and my eyes went directly to a boy.
"Ummm. I think him?" Winnie spoke as she stared at the kid I was looking at.
"Holy moly!" I stuttered.
I looked behind me as the teacher cut her way through.
"Okay class take your seats!" She clapped as we all sat down.
"I hope you enjoy your seats because this is where you will sit for the rest of the year." I looked around and saw my two best friends beside me. I looked in front of me after smiling to my best friends and saw the new kid in front of me. My smile dropped as I blushed when he smiled at me.
"Names Ryan."
"Kaida." I replied.
"Pretty name." He winked.
I blushed and chuckled.
Holy hell he's hot.
