Ryan grabbed my arm and threw me.
My back hit a tree and I grunted on the impact.
I got back up and watched as he ran for me, nails sharp. I dodged his swing at me and I elbowed him in the gut. He groaned and I moved out of the way to push him down.
He got up and sliced my arm. I screamed in pain and he got me above the eye.
I kicked him in the head and he went down. I knocked him out with a rock and ran.
I ran back toward the school, grasping my bleeding arm, and I soon heard my name being called.
"HARVEY??" I call.
"KAIDA?" He yells.
I ran toward his voice and I meet his eyes.
"Holy shit what happened?"
"Ryan attacked me. He got me good in the arm." I groaned. I held my arm and I winced in pain as the blood pumped out of it.
"Shit, Asher, take her back to the school. We need to keep an eye on her so Ryan doesn't get to her again."
I looked over and saw Asher with him.
"Come on Kaida." He walked back with me.
"What's Harvey doing?" I ask him.
"He's covering your scent. Vampires have good scent like werewolves do."
"You know about them?"
He laughed and looked at me.
"I'd hope so if I am one."
"You're a werewolf?" My eyes went wide.
"Yeah. Is it cheating if I'm on the lacrosse team and I am a werewolf with super agility and speed?" He asks chuckling.
I smile and say "No, you're just using your abilities to your advantage."
"Ya know, you're the only person who's ever said that." He nodded.
I laughed and soon felt another jolt of pain in my arm. I let out a muffled cry of pain.
"You okay?" He asks.
"Yeah, I just need to get this fixed."
"We are almost at the school hold on."
We walked quicker and I finally saw the school. My body had slown down as I hobbled over to the medical table of the lacrosse game. Everyone had gasped at the gash in my arm. The team stopped playing and helped me get over to the table.
I started to get dizzy. I looked at my hand covered in blood and concluded that it was definitely from loss of blood.
"Can you hear me?" The doctor asked.
"Y-yes." I looked up at her as she was in the light above. The sky blurred with her black hair and I still tried to stay awake.
"What year is it?"
"Twenty... twenty-nineteen."
"What colour is your hair?
"Bl-blon..."
I felt my world go black. My senses went numb and my limbs flopped as I passed out.I woke up and I was in a white area.
"Hello?"
My voice echoed in the hollow room.
"Anyone here?"
The words I emitted radiated and bounced all around me.
"Kaida." The soft voice spoke. I turned and it was sawyer.
"Sawyer? Where am I?"
"You're in your conscience."
"Where is everyone else."
"They are here."
All of my friends soon lined up next to sawyer. I smiled. But soon I felt a breeze from behind me.
I turned and a black spot started to grow in the ground.
It grew and grew until black sand formed a figure. Soon the figure gained features and color.
"Ryan." I said scowled.
"Pretty little thing. You just couldn't keep away could you?"
"I don't need you!" I shouted.
"Is that so? Well then why are you still wearing that ring?" He smirked. I looked down at my hand and saw the blue ring glowing fiercely, but it wasn't blue, it was red and blinking. Like a tracker.
I tried to take it off but it wouldn't work. I pulled and pulled but it wouldn't come off. The more I pulled the more the darkness took over the white echoing hall.
My friends started screaming and I tried to grab onto them as they disappeared but nothing I did could save them. Their screaming soon was muffled by a sealed third wall and they were gone. My ears rung as I was left in darkness.
And then I woke up.
I screamed as I sat upright. I heaved breaths in and out.
"She's awake." A voice called. I looked over and Asher was standing beside my bed at home.
"How long have I been out?"
"About a day or two."
"Two days??!" I asked springing up.
"Woah woah woah. You're still weak. Lay back down."
I grabbed onto his arm and laid back in bed.
My family and friends came rushing in and looked at me.
They all hugged me and I hugged back.
"We are so glad you're okay sweetie." My mom said.
"You did so well fighting him off!" Winnie squeaked.
I looked over and sawyer was crying against Cameron.
"I'm just so happy to see you again. I don't know what I would have done if you left us."
"I had a dream about you Sawyer." I say smiling.
"Really?"
"Yeah. You were the first one in my dream. And you were the last one out of my dream."
"Well I was the first one in the hospital as a guest and the last one out."
That shocked me. I was in my conscience.
"And I had a dream that this ring... it... this ring!!!" I chucked the ring off.
"The ring is a tracker! That's how he knew where I was all the time!" I recoiled in my bed to get as far away from that thing as possible.
Asher picked it up and looked at the inside.
He looked up at everyone with wide eyes.
"It is a tracker."
